Should Shri Anna Hajare form a Political Party ?

In last 64 years ,after independence,our Constitution and Democracy are unsuccessful in reducing the poverty of a common man.Today, about 40% people of our country stay below poverty line.During this period of 64 years,mainly Congress was in power.BJP and Janata Govts. were in power for only few years.
That means Congress is proved to be the most corrupt Govt.All big scams like Bofors,2G,Rashtrakul and recent Air India scam of purchase of 210 Aeroplanes, which is pointed out by CAG have taken place in Congress regime only.Recent Janardan reddy mining scam in BJP lead Govt in Karnataka is also no exception to this .All political parties today are corrupt beyond doubt.
Even if Anna is successful in bringing Janlokpal Bill,what about its implimentation?Can we expect its correct implimentation by such corrupt Govt? No !.
How long we keep on fighting for its implimentation?That energy and movement should be directed to bringing the Honest Govt.This is is possible only if New Political party wins under the Chairmanship of Anna.Now its a right time.Only educated,honest and clean personalities should be the candidates.We all should vote and bring them to Parliament.
We cannot expect thieves to be the police.Its a joke.
To conclude," There is no alternative but to form a new political party,under the Chairmanship of Shri Anna Hajare." !

Anna Hazare has embarked on a high path of sacrifice, called satyagraha. It is a yajna in the pure sense. In this the kartha, the doer does not seek any personal gains to any one set of people in particular. All the efforts are intended and directed to result in general good for all. This is not the mighty political effort to mesmerize the minds of the people. This is a subtle and most powerful tool that sensitizes the hearts of the people at large to set them on vibration for a grand orchestra of peace and happiness. This is not to arouse passions and incite hatred and violence. This is but to invoke sanity and abide by non violence. This is not exclusive or against any political party or group or individual people. This is to include and encompass all the people of the nation irrespective of their political leanings for their own individual good as well as for common good. This is not to create any fear in any section of people. This is to instill confidence and summon up courage to all individuals to shed off their own murky, short sighted, selfish-like corrupt ideas, which indeed weaken them and incapacitate to face up to the truth. This is a cleansing process which will help every one who takes it in his stride to come out of his own greedy, selfish-like, violent, destructive tendencies and enjoy uninterrupted peace and happiness.
However if any individual assumes that Anna's movement is against his own interest, by totally identifying himself with his mind prompted corrupt ideas, and refuses to abide by the movement and decides to fight it is bound to suffer severe repercussions. When a strong machinery such as the Jan-lokpal is installed and working, the corrupt people are likely to be easily identified and punished according to the law. Such a person who has not undergone the cleansing process, and remains adamant to reconciliation, is certain to suffer miserably when he faces the truth of punishment for his own misdeeds. On the other hand, a reconciled person remains peaceful and happy even in jail.
If any political party does not abide itself by Anna's movement, and refuses to undergo cleansing itself of the murky corrupt ways and refuses to get rid of the corrupt leaders, and decide to fight against this great movement, by whatever sinister machinations such as propagating concocted stories of falsehood or attributing ulterior motives to the torch bearers, the people at large are watching them. Anna's movement communicates with people not in the language of minds but in the language of hearts. People will certainly dump such parties which identify themselves with the corrupt leaders at the hustings. On the other hand if all the political parties adapt the cleansing process really and dump their own past murky machinations and their corrupt leaders, it is good for them as well as to our great nation in the long run. However if some parties pretend to be clean without actually undergoing cleansing, and try to derive advantage of Anna's movement by apparently identifying themselves with it are bound to be disappointed too.
Anna Hazare and his team are on a high pedestal doing yeomen service to the people of our country. They shall never stoop down to form a political party to seek governmental power for ruling the nation. The government has to work after all as per the constitutional guidelines subject to close purview of other equally powerful institutions. The evolution of good governance is not isolated one time act. It has to be an institutional process to continuously focus on searching for lacunae and plug loop holes in the system and readjust the power of the institutions, the pillars of a democracy. The loop holes do not surface when strong, good and honest people are in charge of the government. Only when selfish and unscrupulous or weak and indeterminate people are catapulted to high positions, the systemic weaknesses are exploited. Therefore strengthening the system is more important than using the system at best. Anna and his team are working tirelessly to initiate such an institutional process for cleansing the systems. Installation of a strong lokpal is one objective effect but not an end in itself. If we have a strong and tamper proof system in place, we will still have good governance no matter who is elected, Tom, Dick or Rahul to rule the country.

Political parties and limitations for good governance
If we see the history, most of our great political parties are formed by great and honest leaders for a noble purpose. The integrity of their founders was never in question. They also did their best to install filters to prevent unscrupulous selfish elements from ascending to their hierarchy. As long as the parties were fighting the mighty powers for the people the parties looked very pious. Only when a party gains in strength to be able to wield some power or influence, does it attract the imagination of bad elements to somehow infiltrate its ranks. Even some of its existing leaders who have been hailed by people as their champions may be tempted to privately succumb to alluring opportunities materializing from time to time. Except for those people with very strong fundamentals, people are susceptible to bend a little to their mind’s gamble. Once the mind is corrupted, slowly and steadily they progress to evolve into sinister, cynical, hardened, brazen and dangerous rogues. This evolution progresses with the opportunity available with power.
Everybody is good as long as not exposed to opportunity. Once exposed to chance, it is hard to differentiate who remains good, prefers to be good but not always good, who is only apparently good but core corrupt and who is outspokenly brazen hard core criminal. These days politicians are not defending themselves or disproving the allegations against them to come out clean in the eyes of the public. They are more emphatic on insisting that the person making the allegations is not qualified to make them as though a bad man should not say another bad man bad. In the same breath, they promptly explode with sensational counter allegations of their own on the opponent. The utmost positive defense some people ever exhibit is a challenge their opponent to prove in a court of law if there is an evidence. They are so sure that they can somehow manipulate the evidence and manage the situation. In extreme case when cases are filed in courts, even when there is open evidence for the crime committed, some criminals are still trying to plead with the judges that the cases against them should be dismissed, not because there is no truth in the allegations but because the allegations were made by people having sinister designs and ulterior motives. They wield their brute political clout, use the ill gotten money to manipulate the witnesses, wipe out the evidence, allure the judges, and employ the most popular legal luminaries to derail the judgments by whatever means available to them. Such people are shameless and trying to project themselves as champions of people’s cause by constantly propagating false information in print and electronic media of mass communication.
Under the circumstances, where manipulated information is flooded to the people day in and day out, Unscrupulous politicians stoop to any level to malign their contestants, corrupting the officials for working outright in their favor, how is it possible for ordinary people at large to judge who is right and who is wrong? Even if demigods and saints contest elections in our country, the chance of their winning are poor because, the opposing politicians can easily malign the saints and gods as devils, whereas the gods and saints never point out and propagate the bad of others.
Do you people still feel Anna Hazare should form a political party and his team members contest elections??? If and if they stoop to take up your proposed challenge, who will run the struggle for restoring true democracy in our country??? Friends please think coolly and reconsider your proposals.
What noble purpose could be served by formation a new party ???

There are too many political parties already. Therefore, Anna should think in terms of joining a secular political force with his supporters, use it's organisational reach to spread his message, cleanse that party from inside and make a difference to governance of country. Why waste time and energy in creating organisation all over again?

Mr.Hashim's proposal that Anna and his team should join some political party looks to me an absurd proposition. The aim and objective in forming and running of all political parties is to to get their majority representation in legislative assemblies and parliament and capture power to run the government if possible or at least when they do not get the required number of seats for that, they should substantial number of seats to make their views influence formation laws and running of government. At the most they can make the government sensitive the needs of the people, and prevent unjust exploitation of people, develop infrastructure for providing gainful employment opportunity for all, minimize taxes, maximize benefits and take good care of the welfare of all sections of people. Create suitable atmosphere for and encourage people to have social bonds and develop camaraderie among all sections of people (social integration). Honestly this is optimum level of performance any political party is expected to do.
But the kind of task that Anna Hazare has set for himself and his team and the unique means adapted to achieve result can never ever be achieved by any political party however lofty their ideology is and however great their far sighted their leaders are.

Let's be more courteous when commenting on others' ideas/ suggestions. We should avoid using hurtful comments like "absurd". After all, this is a forum of civil society members to jointly cleanse the system, and dividing ourselves into camps through comments that hurt the self esteem of the others won't help. We could, for example, say, "Mr.Hashim's proposal that Anna and his team should join some political party looks to me a proposition that will only work contrary to serve our purpose.", or more simply, "I don't agree with Mr.Hashim's proposal that Anna and his team should join any existing political party." (and I disagree with Mr. Hashim too).

I fully agree with Ganesanji. We are a big group of Bhartiyas brothers and sisters and as per Bharatiya Sanskaar, we must respect other's views.

After reading views mentioned on page 4, 5, 6 and 7 anyone can conclude that all views are on one track i.e. ANNAJI & TEAM SHOULD COME AHEAD TO PROVIDE CLEAN, TRANSPARENT AND HONEST GOVERNANCE TO PEOPLE OF BHARAT. Of course this Governance will be By the People, Of the People and For the People in true sense.

This is a valuable start with different thoughts, views, skills, intellect level, etc. Having a single END GOAL i.e. Good Governance with full of Patriotism and far from LUST and LUXURIES to Bharat Mahan, we are pouring our brains.

Dear Friends, to work under a political party’s banner always quite demanded in nature.
Today, when every second political party in our country is having huge dependence on Money and Mussel Power for their existence,we have to change this thought by the way of our LIVING STYLE and INBUILT NATURAL THOUGHTS (Kathni aur karni ek zaisi honi chahiye). We can follow the SIMPLICITY of Sh. Annaji and far from LUST & Luxury life of Team Anna. Their selfless dedication towards Bharat Mahan is a great teaching for all those who really wish to see their Bharat as a Mahan.

Now move to the basic question that how can a new political party survive in this scenario when multi complex problems are waiting to create obstacle at every step of life.

Besides CORRUPTION, to deal with all such problems and divisive issues like RESERVATIONS, SMALLER STATES, NAXALISM, PRICING OF AGRI COMMODITIES, INPUTS AND PRODUCTS, PETRO PRODUCTS, FDI POLICY, INDUSTRIAL AND SERVICE SECTOR GROWTH ETC. ETC. (mentioned by Ganeshanji), one should go to the root of all these problems and try to find out the reasons behind their birth and continuous growth.

Majority people at any place or in village, city, district, state and country always look at FIVE ESSENTIALITIES i.e. Food (Roti), Clothes (Kapda), Shelter (Makan), Education (Shiksha) and Medical helps (Chikitsa) at a reasonable level and cost. So let’s find the answer of under mentioned questions:

Why people (here mass of any nation) went corrupt?
Because not getting enough resources to meet these five essentialities for families and misadministration in the overall System force them for all malpractices.

Why people demand Reservation?
Because of huge discrimination has been spread by political leaders (Akkas) among Bhartiya society. At first stage, Reservation seemed to be for good reasons but slowly in case of mass due to not getting enough opportunities to work and exploit their abilities and capabilities, it become a demand. Again to meet Five Essentialities and to overcome the system’s flaws, everyone is after RESERVATION.

Why people demand Smaller States and use Naxalism?
Again to have FIVE ESSENTIALITIES in better ways and seeing somewhat brightness in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chhatisgarh, Uttrakhand, etc. (example of distanced smaller states from big ones) people feel that Smaller states’ administration may provide them somewhat better way to resource Five Essentialities and a Good Administration.

Why people (farmers) demand higher PRICING OF AGRI COMMODITIES for their inputs?

Again they wish to provide their families these Five Essentialities.

Why people (small traders, Business man etc.) try to avoid tariffs and taxes?
Again as they too have families and also wish to provide at least Five Essentialities to them.

How can PETRO PRODUCTS, FDI POLICY, INDUSTRIAL AND SERVICE SECTOR GROWTH ETC. ETC. are managed effectively?
Simply with the effective management (political Will Power) to give mass five essentialities at reasonable rate and provide a good infrastructure to all capable people to make a best use their capabilities in Bharat itself. Present generation can name people like Sam Pitroda, Dr. Trehaan, Subir Bhatia, Sudha Murthy (major force behind the success of Infosys) among many other as true Bhartiya. Even one can see a genuine case of Sh. Dhirubhai Ambani as a major victim of post independent India’s spoiled System. No luxurious life was heard for Dhirubhai Ambani as he was known to be a great Employees and Investor friendly person.

People can be made aware in a way that if Good Governance and Administration will be given by True Bhartiyas with all Bhartiya Values then chances are there that people may try fresh set strugglers for a once.

How to give this good governance?
The matter is still under discussion and I have something to write further. (Please give your open heart views as I am prepared to alter my thoughts at every stage/ level)
