How Reservation affects on the Whole --

In Education:-

1) Increased Percentage of Marks to score, for students who don't fall in the general category.
2) Increased Student Suicide attempts because they cannot get into an elite college, inspite they have scored 99 % marks, because the seat is booked for a 60% guy.
3) Degraded standard of Students, in the Colleges.
4) Increased Bribe money being paid for seats, in colleges.
_______________________________________________________________________
In Govt. Jobs:-

1) The people who get into a Govt. Job with the help of reservation Quota, hardly know about the rules and regulations and they easily get influenced by the authorities because of their lack of knowledge.
2) No quality professionals want to work for the Govt., thus making the govt a bunch of Sick people.
________________________________________________________________________
On Country:-

1) Politicians can always bank upon the reserved category for bloody votes, thus giving rise to "Politics on Caste/Reservation".
2) People start giving Bribe to govt. officials for getting their name registered in SC/ST/OBC categories.

INDIA should finght against 2 odds. 1. Corruption and 2. Reservations Should stop womens bill, if it is passed, new bills will be passed in favor of women very easily. Just for example: No Tax for women till their income reaches 10Lakh per annum and for men Tax starts from 1lakh per annum. Men will be screwed up...

Will appreciate if people do not take refuge behind such inane names as icecream and things like that. What's the fear? Why not come out in the open and face the real world with real intents?

Reservation has become a devil for Indian infrastructure and intellectual ability of people. Every now & then, here & there, ours own Govt. properties are set on fire, sabotaged or damaged for seeking reservation in schools, colleges, services etc. by different communities, which ultimately, we have to re-build by paying additional taxes etc. This money might have been used for boosting safety, security & growth of the nation. Some youth think of getting ahead in each area by doing less efforts as compared to general quota candidates, thus resulting in lesser growth of intellectual ability of themselves. Leaders think of 'divide & rule' policy and some of them support such people to achieve their political targets. I am not totally against reservation, but it may be given to really poor, downtrodden & handicapped persons in shape of books, stationery, uniforms, boarding facility, free conveyance passes etc. irrespective of their caste, religion, gender etc. Caste, religion and gender based reservation in each area, should be stopped, because 'He' has made each of us equally equipped with mental & physical abilities (except handicapped persons) and it has become a curse to Indian society. By this, the creep between castes has widened instead of bringing them together at the same level. All necessary amenities should be made available to keep in pace with others to such needy persons but not to all on the basis of caste, creed or religion.

no no no reservation

I agree with Mr N.C.Sinha. We must say no-reservation of any kind. We are confident enough to compete for a quality education and service.

A point on equality of opportunity and reservation!
I am for doing away with all kinds of reservations, except of course reservation in trains, plains and restaurants etc. Reservations for jobs and admissions to various schools and colleges must be done away with. These breed frustration and division and nothing else. Instead, provide equal infrastructure for all to grow without any kind of discrimination at any level. Let all grow in an environment of equality. This is what was envisaged by the constitution makers. In our over enthusiasm we nullified it all by clinging on to this absurd principle of reservation that has contributed to raising of an army of inefficient and half-baked educated people. There is a need to give a serious thought to it. And so long as we cannot provide adequate infrastructure for all, the only reservation should be made available to those who are economically backward irrespective of caste and creed. Those promoting the causes of caste and religion forget the fact that 'we are all naked under our shirts and pants'. Our constitution too guaranteed equality and equal opportunities to all. Only the exceptions should be eliminated. No reservation at all. Let us all breathe in a free and fair society where there is no room for adjustments in the name of reservation. This is a breeding ground for corruption and inefficiency. We are paying heavily for that. And in order to create an environment conducive for free and natural growth of all, I suggest conscription for our countrymen. Country belongs to all us. Why then only some people serve it as soldiers. Let no soldier feel that he is dying for 'their' country. We can prove to be a better nation if we do away with reservation and implement conscription.
I want to submit respectfully that creation of environment of equality is easier said than done. In a vast country of size of India where diversity and differentiation exist not only in society but also in government system of providing amenities. The access of basic amenities, education, health care, facilities, economic background, upbringing environment, access to technology is not same across all socio-economic strata.

It is difficult to compare a child whose parents are illiterate, accessing the free education of primary school sponsored by government in Nanded, Latehar, Kalahandi, Ajamgadh districts; travelling several kilometers for accessing primary education and more distance for accessing middle and senior secondary education, unaware of existence of commuter and it's utilities, having done his graduation from pathetically placed spurious quality of universities of these states, to compare to a professional's son whose upbringing happened in one prominent convent school in Metro city where schools take test/interview of parents before giving admission to child, have the access of best quality infrastructure of city compounded with urban environment and information dissemination, use computer since 2nd class for gaming and later internet, studied in foremost universities of the nation.

The above example just shows the magnanimity of inequality which is prevailing in India.Talk of equality is very easier said than actually execute in India. But this doesn't mean to lend a support for current reservation system. Current system of reservation is elitist in nature.
