Anna Hazare - Anti-Corruption Movement

It really feels good to be a part of a movement that promises to crush and eradicate corruption from our society. While eradicating it altogether may be a long and slow process, the onslaught on the government for adoption of the Lok Pal Bill must be continued and intensified so that the government is forced to buckle and yield to our demand. In any case, we aren't asking for any personal benefits. We are demanding something that we all know can clean the Augean stable sponsored and promoted by the government. We amply highlighted this point in our day-long dharna at Patna both to the public and press. We are happy the media both print and electronic has responded with enthusiasm and has understood the missive and the message. WE HAVE BEEN EMPHASISING ON RE-CREATION OF FEAR OF LAW IN THE MINDS OF THE WRONG DOERS. Passage of Lok Pal and Lok Ayukta Bills that we have proposed will instil this fear. It is precisely for this reason that the government is reluctant to acceded to our demand. But if we continue and intensify our agitation with our beloved Anna Hazare on the forefront, there is no reason why we should not succeed. It feels good to be a part of it.

You will find the names of co-ordinators in your area. Just contact them and plunge into it. If u are unable to find on your own, revert to us. We'll try to find it out for you. Welcome, just the same. Spread the awareness. The joy of doing something good is always an enduring one.

78 years young Anna Hazare has taken on the mantle. The younger ones need to go headlong into it. For them I have these words of William Wordsworth who was a young man at the time of the French Revolution. The tumult of the period and the state of the young ones was described by him in these words: 'Bliss was it in that dawn, to be young it was heaven'. This was his inspirational period and what he stated was not part of his poetic exuberance. The heady enthusiasm was needed then, the heady enthusiasm is needed now.
