Talking Full wattage in Jaspal Bhatti's Comedy Movie POWER CUT

When almost the whole country is reeling under power cuts Jaspal Bhatti has reason to rejoice. Not that he owns a generator or an inverter manufacturing company, but it is because he is coming up with a Punjabi comedy movie, ‘Power Cut’ which sees a summer release this year.
The romantic lead artists Jasraj Bhatti who is son of Jaspal Bhatti, Surilie Gautam and Zafar Khan today welcomed ‘power cuts’ in Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana by distributing hand-fans and posed for the media in sector 17- plaza in Chandigarh.
‘If our politicians planned for Electrical Power with half their energy that they apply to gain political power the country’ future would brighten up with full wattage. We are thankful to inefficient power ministries and electricity department to inspire us to make a romantic comedy movie on the backdrop of our power system’ Bhatti said on the occasion. Jaspal Bhatti who himself is an electrical engineer feels making fun of own profession and laughing at own self is the best kind of humour.
Bhatti plans to dub ‘Power Cut’ in other languages like Hindi and Tamil. Bhatti feels Tamil Nadu has the same Electricity Problem that Punjab and Delhi have.
The other leading artists of the movie are Prem Chopra, Jaspal Bhatti, Savita Bhatti, Jaswinder Bhalla, Rajesh Puri, BN Sharma, Gurchet Chitrakar, Chandan Prabhakar, Harpal, Dr Surinder Sharma, Lally Gill and many others from Bollywood and Punjabi film industry.
The main Title Song has been sung by Mika where as others singers are Sunidhi Chauhan, Master Saleem and Laimber Hussainpuri. The music has been designed by Gurmeet Singh. The movie is misconceived and misdirected by Jaspal Bhatti according to his ulta pulta style of credits. The movie has been produced by Paveljit Ruppal.
On this occasion noted Punjabi folk singer Gurtej Tej belted out some lines on the “power cut” in sec 17.
“Balle balle, bai power cut lag ve gaya,
leh gaya make up te chhut gaye passeney…..
Balle balle, bhai aashkan di mauj lag gayi,
Aunda janda nehre wich disse na koi……
Sutti payi nu pakhi di jhall maran ,
power cut lagya hi rahe…….”
