Dear revered Anna,

India shall ever remain indebted to you for the cudgel you took up on behalf of hapless countrymen who had been taken for a ride by unscrupulous and self seeking politicians leaving small space for the honest. There is no way to repay this debt and I shall not make any futile attempt to do that by thanking you.

Today, we stand on a threshold and all credit to you. There was no hope anywhere in this dark horizon. You came and lit the country up by seeking to weed out corruption. Its a herculean task and can be taken up only by those who have the commitment of the highest order. The least we can do to uphold this spirit is to stand steadfastly by your side and force this government and the set of the politicians to pass the janlokpal bill so that India and Indians can breathe in fresh air of purity which is so badly contaminated by political mess. The systemic change that you are trying to bring in will take India to a height that was always its rightful place.

May you live long to guide us towards making India a place mankind can be proud of.
