It was the ego of the leaders that brought down the government. There were far too many leaders then and all of them were politicians who always carry their own axes which they keep grinding whenever they get an opportunity. Fortunately, we are keeping the politicians out of it. But of course we cannot shut the political shops altogether. Over reliance on bureaucrats and judiciary will also not be good for the country. There has to be a proper mix. In the mix we have presently, there is not much of a problem except for the fact that quality people are not at the helm. Through the institution of Lokpal that we the Civil Society have proposed we may be able to set things right to a very large extent and that will in essence be the achievement.
