Ph.D. Programmes Admissions Session 2009-10

Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078, has notified the admissions to its Ph.D. Programmes for the Academic Session 2009-10 in the Divisions of (a) Electronics & Communication Engineering (b) Computer Engineering & Information Technology (c) Instrumentation and Control Engineering (d) Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering (e) School of Applied Sciences (Mathematics Chemistry, Physics).

Applicant should have a Master's Degree in Engineering / Technology/Science/ Equivalent in relevant area with a consistently good academic record, securing 70% or more marks in aggregate. Applicants must ensure that their final result is declared before the date of interview likely to be in June 2009, failing which, they will not be allowed to appear for interview and admission.

Those selected for the Ph.D. Programme will have to subsequently apply to the University of Delhi for Ph.D registration as per Delhi University Rules.

Exceptionally brilliant candidates having keen interests in an academic career shall be considered for 'Teaching-cum-Research-fellowship'. An amount of Rs.15000/- p.m is being paid under this scheme. Successful candidates, on completion of Ph.D under the scheme, stand good chance of being considered for absorption as Faculty in the Institute through proper Selection Committee.

A scheme also exists for the award of Teaching/Research Assistantship for providing financial assistance to the students of full time Ph.D, with M.Tech or equivalent qualifications. A student who is not found suitable for TRF but found suitable for research can be considered to Ph.D Programme as Research Fellow with stipend/fellowship as per rules.

Completed application with attested photocopies of Certificates / Testimonials, two self addressed envelops of size 25 cm x 11 cm, for communication, two address slips and a Demand Draft /Pay order for Rs. 500/- taken in favour of Director, NSIT, New Delhi-110078, payable at Andhra Bank, NSIT Branch, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078 with name, address and Telephone Number of applicant written at the back of the Demand Draft/Pay order, should reach the Office of Assistant Registrar (Acad. PG Studies), Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Sector-3, Dwarka, New Delhi-110078 latest by 5 pm on 20.04.09.
