We encourage students to use the university's remarkable resources, including the highest level of instruction and research available. Master of Science : The 10-month M.S. program offers aspiring and experienced journalists the opportunity to study the skills, the art, and the ethics of journalism by reporting and writing stories that range from short news pieces to complex narrative features. Read more... The journalism school attracts some of the finest journalists in the country to serve on their faculty. Since most class sizes are limited to 16 or fewer, students work closely with their professors. Nationally known journalists are often at the school on a daily basis and are welcomed as speakers in classrooms and lectures, adding breadth of knowledge to the faculty’s broad experience. They also offer the Columbia Publishing Course, which is a certificate program, as well as the Punch Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program.
