Sports Science Research Fellowships 2009-2010


Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Sports Authority of India, Old Moti Bagh, Patiala, Punjab-147001, has invited applications for admission to the 3 year Research Fellowship in (i) Physiology (ii) Anthropometry (iii) Psychology (iv) Training Method (v) Biomechanics (vi) Bio-Chemistry and (vii) Nutrition.

Applicant should have Post Graduate Degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC and 50% for SC/ST and Physically Handicapped applicants. Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering/Biophysics is needed for Biomechanics. MPE/MPEd is essential for Training Method.*

Upper age limit is 30 years as on 31.3.2009 which is relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/Physically handicapped/Female candidates and up to 3 years in case of OBC candidates.

These positions are available at Patiala, Bangalore and Kolkata. Selected candidates may work at any one of these centres. Stipend of Rs.6000/- per month will be available for one year. In addition, a contingency grant of Rs.20000/- per annum will also be given. On completion of one year, the tenure may be extended to two more years, subject to satisfactory performance.*
