Gujarat govt. has put up 2200 km gas pipe line at the cost of about Rs. 10000 cr which reached to about 7 lakh houses including 300 villages and saved about 300 cr per annum of gas cilinder subsidy... but center govt. issued notification to stop this for unknown reason... this work is held up since 2 years and Gujarat govt. gone to Supreme Court against this... it would have been reached to 20 lakh houses and saved about 3.5 cr gas cylinder if restriction was not there...
