To all the opposers of reservation i would like to make a few points in favour of reservation.

First of all the root cause of every present ill of the society is varna system developed during vedic period which each and

every dominant caste of yesteryears and also majority of the present elite caste do follow in real spirit in the villages and

towns and sadly in cities also(due to reservation off course) to till date. I see everyone talking about financial prosperity and inefficiency of the lower castes as the main reason for abolishing reservation. While some tweaking is necessary to improve the delivery of the reservation system, but in no way we should think of doing away with it.

The reservation arose because of the supression of the following abilities of lower castes by sheer domination of the upper

castes like creating the intelligent genepool, dareness to get in to the limelight and educative culture created in the

families of the upper castes for over 4000 years.

Yes, if one's outlook is present scenario in the tier I and II cities and not tier III cities or villages then anti-reservation movement wins.
But if we take into consideration that government's job is to bring equality in every sphere of every indian as envisaged in

the constitution then reservation movement wins (as the implementors of the constitution have failed miserably- no surprise

as many great reformers of the society have failed for thousands of years and how can we expect the same set of people to

change the society in 10 years). Now also equality is not achieved so reservation cannot be done away with.
if you take few instances of inefficiency taking the upper hand, then it should be removed, but if you take a many examples of jobs not being filled up inspite of reservation in some of the category of the posts, then it should continue.

If you talk of india becoming a super power (only economically and not socially) by bringing only efficient people in to the system, yes to some extent only (because the same upper castes have created such deep divisions in the society for their selfish motives allowing many the foriegners to exploit us for thousands of years and did not create a strong culture of nationalism feeling like in china which is must for a super power). No super power countries have such deep irrepairable cracks in the soceity. So forget about india becoming of a super power, the present and past system is too flawed to be repaired. we need to cleanse the mind of the every indian of discrimination(either superior or inferior feeling) which is really impossible.

The reservation should be removed only under these utopian conditions :-
1. Let all the dominant castes stop discrimination to lower castes in real spirit by allowing them free entry to temples and other public places in every corner of india , let them become priests( if any lower castes person wants to), by stopping violence against them which is a norm in many villages.
2. let us provide equal level of studies in all cities and villages to every indian by nationalising education(no private schools and colleges).

hypothetically, we will assume reservation in studies and jobs is removed , then i can say with conviction that topclass colleges will be only with majority upper castes students, if you want deprive 25% of the indian population of good quality education then please remove this and we will go back to vedic age of social discrimination intact and education discrimination reversed(in favour of upper castes). Also most of the jobs will be taken up by upper castes only.
sorry great crusaders of anti-reservation, you cannot turn blind to what you dont want to see and highlight and see only which you want, then same behaviour holds for pro-reservation.

The tweaking which can be done in the reservation system is :-

1. remove the creamy layer from reservation system( which is possible only if the government machinery works without corruption right from bribe during selection of class I and II), nowadays the government officials give false creamy layer certificate by taking bribe)
2. depriving reservation to the next generation if one generation has already availed( which is possible only if the database system is so efficient to remove duplicacy and maintain impeccable and perfect database by not excluding even one indian)
