Anna defends Arvind Kejriwal's 'rapist-MPs' remark

Veteran social activist Anna Hazare on Monday stepped out in defence of Arvind Kejriwal who has been receiving flak from the political plethora over his comment on Members of Parliament, and said that his key aide will never use abusive language, but would give a befitting reply to those indulging in wrong doings.

"Kejriwal will never use abusive language, I am confidant that he won't abuse. Those who indulged in wrong doings they would get a befitting reply from Kejriwal but he will not abuse anybody," he told the media at his native Ralegan Siddhi.

Kejriwal's 'rapist-MPs' remark has drawn sharp criticism from the leaders of various political outfits, who have termed his statement to be an attack on the Indian democracy and an insult to the people of the nation.

Addressing a gathering in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida city on Saturday, Kejriwal said: "All types of elements have entered Parliament, including "robbers, murderers and rapists". Parliament has become the biggest problem of the country. It is now essential to change its character."

Terming the ongoing probe against corrupt politicians to be a mere drama, Kejriwal said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has become a tool in the hands of the ruling UPA Government.

"Suresh Kalmadi, A. Raja and Kanimozhi are sent to jail for just a few days and come out very quickly," he said.
