This is Rohit Kumar Singh,a student.Recently I had to go to noida sec19 post office to pick up a parcel.The details are as follows:


parcel to be delivered at home,but due to absence of anyone at the concerned address,it was redirected to the nearest post-office,sec 19.thats perfectly ok.

total parcel charges inclusive of delivery charges=165
phonecall charge(which the postoffice made ) =10
total =175
amount taken by the postman(concerned with sec12,Y block,noida delivery)=200
On my refusal to give the extra amount,the postman threatened me that I will be kept waiting for hours.And running out of time,I had no option but to pay the extra amount.
I realized many others were also being demanded extra money for receiving their parcels/letters,failing which they were kept waiting for hours.

I feel really sad at such a grim,corrupt scenario.I tried to find a complaint box or complaint number which I could not and hence I am composing this mail.I seek no compensation.I seek no action against anyone.But I would be more than thankful to you,if you could do something over the dismal scenario....
If you can bring this matter in the notice of the concerned authorities of postal offices,I would be grateful to you.
