One of the important demands of Annaji is that the electorates should have right to recall the elected representative. Many people contend that it is not practical to give this right to people given the size of every constituency in our country.

I here want to give suggestion that we can punish a Government without waiting for five years when they come to us during election.

The suggestion is

- that one third of the MPs/MLAs should be elected every 20 months. So if a Government does not do well, people will have the power to punish the party in the next twenty month. The imminent threat of election every 20 month will tame the Government without warranting a recall of the elected candidate.
