Was just wondering on the Diwali day" what are we celebrating Diwali for"?

I remember dad telling us as kids Diwali meant "truth over falsehood" "Light over darkness".

Is it the case today...lets ask ourselves.

"Desh ka Diwala nikla huha hai".Yatha raja tada praja

70 % of this country barely makes ends meets.

Is the wealth / success from the 18-20% cascading down to the 70 odd percent. Down to the last man in the villages.

Are the people sitting at powerful positions of power bothered?

Do they know the meaning of Governance & Leadership ?

Do they have the integrity and intent?

If not what has to be done...is there no way out ? Do we have to keep lumping it.

I am sure there is a way...let us start asking ourselves practical ways out of this mess than intellectualising it all the time.

My next article would be practical steps on how we can go about. Would appreciate your inputs and thoughts
