I think we're digressing. Let's leave the issue of Bhushans to Anna and just support the movement rather than answer every question coming our way.

It was basically Anna who first espoused the cause and went on fast unto death, and we just rallied behind him. As long as we have faith in him, let's leave it to his best judgment on how to handle this and all other issues that get thrown in.

Let's understand that all of us have some intelligence and all of us think in different ways. So, all of us are right in some ways, and all of us could be wrong in some other ways. There's some subjectivity when we discuss the issue of Bhushans (or similar issues). Let's discuss both the prons and cons of retaining Bhushans.

Why we should avoid Bhushans? When we're fighting corruption, why give room for people (well meaning and otherwise) to fault the citizen's committee?

Why should Bhushans be retained?
This is not an office of profit. It is just a membership of a committee to draft the Bill, and has a very limited role and lifetime. It is believed that Bhushans are well equipped to contribute to this significantly. Are the Bhushans the only ones well equipped? Mention any other names, and you could ask the same question. It can never be answered to everyone's satisfaction.

Let's hypothetically say that ALL of us have been corrupt in some way, some time or the other. Does it mean that we should not make a beginning and try to put an end to corruption, just because NONE of has been 100% clean? Since the citizens' representation has 3 others, viz., Anna himself, Justice Hegde and Arvind, let's understand that they will make sure nothing goes amiss.

You bring in any name, and I'm sure someone will bring up some objection, showing some folly, fairly or unfairly (or at least cast a doubt. Didn't they attempt to find some silly fault with Justice Hedge)? So, does it mean we can't make a beginning? Do we believe all the 5 members nominated by the Government are clean?

As we can see, there's no right or wrong answer in such situations. It's best to leave the decision to Anna Hazare, the leader, to take a call on this. We should avoid taking any positions, more so strong positions; if we do, we'll only weaken the movement, which is what the detractors want.
