Thumbs up Yes - Must launch a political party !

Hi,
I strongly believe that Team must launch a political party. I don't think that govt will let 'Janlokpal' bill pass. I believe you should ask more people to join IAC and let the volunteers do ground work of campaigning. As far as money is concerned people can, and we will donate generously considering our future and future of our generations.
One last thing, the more donators/sympathizers we have at our side they will act as stakeholders to see this moment going successful.
The early this step is taken we will be sure that our candidate not only win the election but the deposits of all other candidates gets forfeited.

Basics remain the same

Kindly look at the World History, no revolution in the world has taken place through peaceful means. It is a highly wrong perception given in people's psyche that India became free due to non-violent movement. It was revolutionary efforts, particularly of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Navy and Army Revolt induced by INA, those brought freedom to India.

Those in power are always obstinate, Snob and Insensitive. Why they should listen to toothless movements. Yes, non-violent movement helps in awakening masses. To that extent Anna Team and Baba Ramdev are successful. Now there are two ways:

(I) If Army and Police administration helps, Team Anna should go with Ramdev to topple this thoroughly corrupt Government.

(II) If (I) is not possible
1. Team Anna should form a new party "Netaji Subhas Samyavadi Sangh" with Baba Ramdev.
2. The new political party should try to draw good people from existing parties and many new and young people committed for the cause.
3.Team Anna should support people to be ear-marked by Baba Ramdev.
4. All honest people of repute should be brought to one platform"Netaji Subhas Samyavadi Sangh".
5. Then this new party "Netaji Subhas Samyavadi Sangh" should go to elections.

If Team Anna choose to go by its own to elections, nothing is going to happen, nothing is going to change.

success of any movement or party depends on the kind of people that run the show. No party or organisation is founded on bad ideals or ideas but the criminals and selfish elements hijack it for their personal ends. There are rules and laws in this country to put the corrupt in jail but it does not happen because there is no implementation. It is good to form a party but it should not be just another party, The challenge is to be a party with a difference . The first things is to select the best people and talent available . Any person who wants to fight elections must declare that they are submitting themselves for selfless public service and must keep all his activities transparent. He must declare his assets and bank accounts before becoming the leader of the new party and all his assest must be open for scrutinty by anybody, This is the first step. Next thing is to ask social activists all social organisations to join the party and fight elections The summary is that only great , kind , compassionate , patriotic people must be allowed to become leaders and the leaders of the party must be selected thru a fool proof system, If bad people with ideas of making money and making politics a carrer and profession enters the new party there is no need to form this party. Extreme care may be taken to clearly define the goals and how to achieve it.

I think definitely team Anna should enter into political process. There is no hope on current government and the opposition. If team anna can form a party and make sure the candidates are clean I think India can compete China in all sectors. Current Govt. is trying to see how much they can loot from each project they launch. When opposition comes into power they will also do the same. I think team Anna is the last hope for milllions and millions of Indians in and around the world.

Team Anna must form a political party given the political scenario of the country. There lies a vacuum as regards clean governance. They can always find good people to contest, there is no dearth - it is only due to negative values of the contemporary politicians that good people of the society stay away from contesting. The reforms like 'election reforms' , 'jan lokpal' etc are possible only when finest people sit in the parliament.

For those who speak against the idea of joining the politics by 'Team Anna' I need to remind that Lord Krishna had to teach the diffident Arjuna a complete philosophy so that he can rise to eliminate the evils.

MY BEST WISHES AND REGARDS FOR THE 'TEAM ANNA' TO GO AHEAD AND WIN !!

Thumbs down team anna should get into politics.

According to me, to clean a dirty river, we have to get ourselves into it but the important thing is to keep ourselves free of dirt is a major challenge while cleaning the river. So this thing Annaji and his team should keep in mind when they enter the politics. I dont mind when two trains are on the same track, they will definitely collide, and i am not worried about trains, I want the track Clean and Gud for our future trains. Thats only my opinion on this. Best wishes to Annaji and His Team.

Politics is a honey trap

Politics is a honey trap. It is not for people like Anna, Kejriwal, Bedi, and Hegde.

There is lot more ground work to do on corruption so that the people's movement becomes wider and intense. People know that politicians are corrupt. But, the majority of our people are not sensitized enough to this issue of corruption. People don't seem to care if Raja ate 2G money. They will rise when they come to know who ate the money allotted for the improvement of the road in front of their house, or for the well in the neighbourhood.

Right now, the information on how and where the government (be it the central government or the local municipality) spends our money is difficult to obtain through RTI. People are afraid to be labelled "RTI activist" for fear of attack by the goons.

Instead, complete and transparent information on all government spending should be made available to the public on their websites without anybody's asking. Not long after the money is spent, but before.

IAC would do well to spend some effort on strengthening and widening RTI.

When the common man is sensitized to the issue of corruption, then is the time for IAC or Team Anna to enter electoral politics and show what a model politician means. Till then, they may win some votes and few seats, but won't make an impact on our buffalo-skinned politicians.

Team Anna joining Politice

Team Anna should join politics as there seem to be no other way to bring Electoral reforms and Jan Lokpal Bill. But there are grave dangers too which needs to be carefully evaluated and considered.
Lets admit one thing. The present protest though needed lot of courage and perseverence, it was nontheless the easier way. Once it is decided to come into politics, a host of other issues will have to be addressed where people's opinion may not be so unanimous such as Reservation. The things needed are :
1 Be absolutely transparent. Every thing from donations, discussion, decisions should be absolutely transparent and open to any type of scrutiny.

2 No compromises. Whatever may be the provocation, no compromises with values.

3 Good orators who can explain to people the long term benefits of policies which may seemingly look to affect them adversely. Lots of such people would be needed.

4 Good young cadres who can go to villages and far flung areas to meet and work for people.

These are only few suggesstions. I am sure there would be many more to consider and ponder.

good Luck

Should team anna jump into politics??

I personally think Team Anna should join politics and that's the best way I see to fight against government and prove themselves. But, Let's not expect a sudden change in Indian politics. This will take time. Patience will be the key. Sooner or later they will be successful in achieving the objective of making India a corruption free country. This battle is going to be tough for them. Identifying right candidate is the biggest challenge. I have not voted for many years. I will vote for Team Anna definitely if they join Politics.
