HOW TO KILL A NATION...or a CULTURE...?...7 EASY STEPS...

Dear Friends,

If you want to KILL any NATION or a CULTURE, here are the steps :

(1) DRUGS : The sure-shot medication. Our Dawood Sahab is already helping us in this.

(2) ALCOHOL : Parade this as a Status Symbol. You have a Killer Weapon.

(3) SEX : Do you know Sex can very quickly become an Addiction if Presented in Overdoses ? Why ? Because Sex is so similar to the two substances I've talked of above - Drugs and Alcohol. The two produce heightened pleasure by numbing our nerves to pain. Sex does the same by producing stuff called 'Endorphins', also known as 'Happy Hormones'. In other words - 'Sex is the Brain's Endorphin Addiction'. Too much, and it's no different from Substance Abuse.

Our Government, and a Lot of our Media, might, either directly, or indirectly, already be helping us in this. Skimpy Clothing was once restricted to our Films, now they're beamed into every household by Television. The Competition has infuriated our Celluloid. Their 'employees' seem to have vowed to shed off all remnants of apparel. The Symbol of our Mothers' Divinity, the Breasts, the fountains from which springs humanity's nectar of immortality, are now reduced to mere mounds of flesh, and put on shameless public display. Whether on not our Cast Possesses Acting Skills, they'll sure oblige when it comes to Sleaze Expertise. That's what they call - 'Performing'. Whether or not the story carries merit, the bawdiness is always 'Part of the Scene'. Watch out my dear friends, or you might slowly be turned into Voyeurs and Exhibitionists.

(4) VIOLENCE : Mindless Violence is being passed on in the name of 'Stunts' and 'Action'. Violence by the Protagonist is often paraded as the 'Path to Justice'. I'm concerned what impression this might be creating on the minds of children, teenagers, youngsters, and those that have no one to guide them to the difference between right and wrong.

(5) SPOIL THE YOUTH : Introduce them early to the lure of Drugs, Alcohol and Sex, and you've Created a Youth that doesn't know to think of anyone else but himself. Get them addicted to consumerism, and you don't have a more selfish individual. Show them they need to get into a Romantic Relationship the moment they hit Puberty, and you've almost sealed them off from the ideal of Selfless Love and Sacrifice. Glorify that on every nook and corner of the media and the world, and they'll spend the remainder of their lives zeroing onto members of the opposite sex, in their deeds, nature, behaviour. Sex catches a brain too early, the addiction stays for a lifetime. Our Indian ideal of 'Brahmacharya', where you need to stay celibate till 25 autumns of your life, and focus ONLY on education, seems to have fallen by the wayside. I see that our Indian Value of "Selflessness", the Major Element needed to Create Strong Social Bonds and Structures, is heading for a Severe Hit.

(6) SPOIL THE WOMEN : I consider Men, by their very nature, to be Animals. It is Women who create Humans out of them. I sincerely believe that it is women who create cultures, and manage and sustain them too (or at least have the greater hand in it). Destroy the Human Creating machinery, and you've turned Civilization banal, transformed Society into a motley mob. How do you do this ? Very Easy. Teach them that Alcoholism, Smoking, Drugs and Licentiousness are the New Traits of the "Modern, Liberalized, Emancipated Woman". Never mind, if that is actually the symbol of the Helpless, Cheated and Exploited Woman, made to throng red-beam circles against her wishes. Never mind if it's actually the OPPOSITE of 'Liberalized' - a Bonded, Fettered, IMPRISONED, Enslaved existence to the unclean fancies and fantasies of many. Never mind if it's really the converse of Emancipation - a Ruin of her Life and Health, and Corruption of her Psychology. Call it 'Liberalized' and 'Emancipated', and THOU SHALL HAVE IT.

(7) SPOIL THE CHILDREN : "Catch 'em Young", and you've done it. Teach them one wrong thing after the other, and there's no limit. Attract them to Stardom with singing unimaginable lines, and gyrating to unmentionable tunes, and you'll have multitudes of Parents lining up to list their children to the enslavement, dreaming of the millions if their little ones can somehow 'make' it. Care not what happens to their life, their future.

Easy, aren't they? Do you know of any other ? Let me know.

Thanks,

Summit.

Dear Summit,
The economic liberalisation and satellite channels in India almost started simultaneously.
So now a days new generation is sometimes called MTV generation. As they grew up watching seminude scenes in video songs. As we put premium to foreign language first slowly it invaded our culture. As videos creates more powerful impression in our minds. watching their idols, they tried to imitate and result is before us.
But I am not hopeless. If a family gives you a sanskar, he can differentiate between good and bad, though trends rule but still erything is not lost. The problem is disintegration of families. Now people have become so selfish that if this trend continues word 'family' will become extinct----a joke, well I can't say for now

thanks

Prakash,

You're definitely speaking of something extremely relevant.

"'family' will become extinct----a joke, well I can't say for now..." - No, that's Not a Joke.

I'll show you something that'll leave the Reality Staring You in Your Face, Glaring You in Your Eyes.

Globalisation, and Unbridled Capitalism (please, I'm no Anti-Capitalist, I'm just a Pragmatist who loves to have everything in proper proportions, and that's why I said 'Unbridled' Capitalism), now pose a Serious Threat to the Lives of not just People, but also Languages and Cultures Worldwide.

And therefore, more the Reason we Start Respecting our Culture, and Preserving it.

See the video here. It's about an organisation working to preserve Endangered Languages Worldwide. Hear the Stark Truths that're Revealed at almost every Moment in the Video, and then let me know, what you think.
Language preservationists: Saving speech | The Economist (LINK)
If you've problems with the video, you can view the Article here -
Linguistics: Say what? | The Economist (LINK)
Throughout this forum, I've stressed repeatedly on reaching across to India's illustrious Past. I don't know how many truly caught the significance, but the Videos will explain again. Unless we're able to connect to it, we'll never Realize the Matter we are. And if we don't, posterity will lead us to the same ultimate goal - an extinction of our Languages, an erosion of our Culture, a termination of our Identity, and an expiration of our Existence - in short, our depletion, destruction and disappearance. Like some Jurassic age Dinosaur. We're doomed !

If the World is to survive, then India is the one of the only few beacons of hope, or maybe the only, because of her heightened Spirituality and towering Philosophy. For it's not just a Rich, but also a Philanthropic and an Extremely Well-Balanced Thought-Process, with nothing 'Unbridled' about it. To me, India finished, means the World Finished.

The Western Philosophy of Materialism can do the world no good unless guided by the Spirituality of India. India's Value System, the offspring of her Spirituality, has successfully held together a nation of millions for millennia. Compare that with the West, with less than One-Tenth of the Populace, and already straining at the seams. A 5000-year old Culture that has stood the Test of Time DOES mean Something. Recollect President Obama touring the World with a begging bowl in his hands, desperately trying to spruce up America's Economy Suffering from a Double-Digit Unemployment figure. With less than ten percent of the mouths to feed as the Asians, they suffer from economic scarcity. Imagine if they had a man-mass as big.

Our present destitution is no evidence of our lack of greatness or efficiency, it is only the reason of a few faulty social ideas we follow; that however, does not subtract from the Potential India carries within herself. Our learned intellectuals can easily rid us of those silly proclivities, and we can well balance ourselves up once again. All we need - is just ONE OPPORTUNITY.

Neglecting ourselves is the worst blunder we can commit at this stage; we still have time, if we don't recover, I don't know where we're headed.

The Value System of a Nation is her biggest Wealth. Why ? Because a Strong and Stable Value System creates a Stable Individual, a Stable Individual a Stable Family, a Family a Society, a Society a Polity, and finally a Stable Polity a Stable Economy. Thus the Value System is the most basic building block of the Economy. Take it out, or disturb it, and the Entire Economy crashes.

So, if we're unable to protect our Value System, let aside the Economy, NOTHING will survive. Let us educate our youngsters on its beauty and necessity, and I'm sure they'll respond. We have to Fight Tooth and Nail for it.

It may be worthwhile to remember Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose once again at this moment. His Bravery, Strength, Intelligence, Education, Farsightedness and Resourcefulness could be some of the most potent weapons for us in this war. Let us awaken the Bose within every one of us.

Thanks,

Summit.

Dear summit ! "Calm down ! it seems to me you are set on fire. Now you have started writing with your heart. You are a good writer but these words are enough harsh. Have a controll on your emotions. Its a friendly suggestion ! Go as fuuny as can."

Dear Sunil,

I've always written with my heart, from my heart. Not just this time.

I don't know where you find these words to be harsh; I've only narrated the simple truth. If they appear stringent, I'm sure you won't hold me responsible, will you ? And possibly, you too know the source of this dissonance - and that's not me.

Just because my heart speaks, doesn't mean my head is divorced from it. Emotions are the fuel of human thought, and I'm simply using them as such. My words may arise in my bosom, but they do have a detour through my crown, before striking paper or ether. My head and heart are only acting in unison. And that's because, I'm tutelaged under Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose - one the Energy, the other its Manifestation - one the Faith, the other its Reason - not just India, but the Universe would've been Impossible without that Combination of Consciousness and Matter.

And finally Sunil, I've a question for you. Suppose, God Forbid, if a near or dear one were to be severely ill, would you be able to "Go as fuuny as can"? Probably No, right ? I have a similar situation Sunil. I have a dear one who's terribly ill, and so ill that she is in the ICU. She's bleeding Profusely because of Numerous Attacks Many have Carried Out on her. And she's no other than My Mother - My Mother India. There's no way that I can "Go as fuuny as can" on this, my dear friend - Is there ?

If I do, I'll end up separating my head from my heart. And when that happens, I'll no longer "have a controll on my emotions", for then the fuel of my actions will not be my heart anymore, but something I'm not even aware of. How can a creature, remote-controlled by a distant, unknown entity, "have a controll on its emotions" ?

You've given me a "friendly suggestion", which means, you do consider me to be your friend. It is my Mother - my Mother India - who's so seriously suffering, Sunil. Tell me then, my dear friend, how can I not be on fire ? Now ? After all, the Hand that Rocks the Cradle Rules the World.

Hope that tells you how calm I still am, more than what's needed.

Thank You,

Summit.
