Electricity theft during festivals

I see a lot of Electricity theft during festivals. No one pays for the electricity consumed in pandals and celebrations. So, is it not a loss to the electricity and in turn a loss to us as the per unit rate will go up.

Electricity board officials are not blind to all this. Just wanted to know readers opinion if it is legal to use electricity for festivals free of cost?

Can we raise this issue and stop lakhs of units going waste every festive season?

this is very true...... i have seen myself.... people put the wires on main line and use power, even it was find out in police colony last time in Jaipur....... what a sham !!

More stingent laws required to stop these crimes....

we should report these things directly to the police, take pictures collect evidence or at least post it anonymously online. if you see it happen report it
