ELIGIBILITY:
Undergraduate Programs
B.Tech: A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent and
For all programs: Minimum 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering: Minimum 60% aggregate in Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

SRM Engineering Entrance Exam (EEE) -2009
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and mathematics in the SRM EEE are eligible for all the BTech degree programs.
Candidates who have attempted physics, chemistry and biology in the SRM EEE are eligible only for BTech biotechnology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, bio process engineering, food process engineering and genetic engineering programs.

B.Arch
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, having a minimum total aggregate of 60% with English and mathematics as subjects of study and a minimum NATA score of 80 out of 200.
No separate entrance examination will be conducted by SRM University. However, candidates have to apply in the prescribed application form for admission to B.Arch. program.

B.Des
A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate of 60%.

Admission Procedure:
For BTech Program
Admission will be purely on the basis of the candidate's performance in the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by SRM University
Candidates short-listed based on their performance in the entrance examination will be called for the counseling to be held at the SRM University premises in Kattankulathur, Chennai

For BArch Program
Admission to the B.Arch. program will be based on the aggregate of marks secured in the qualifying examination and the NATA score
The meritorious candidate list will be drawn giving 50% weightage to aggregate of total marks secured in qualifying examination & 50% weightage to NATA score
Based on the ranking, admissions will be offered to the candidate

For BDes Program
Admission to BDes program will be purely on the basis of performance in the Higher Secondary examination. Candidates short listed based on their Higher Secondary marks will be offered admission directly.

Admission under Sports Quota:
SRM University is conducting 3 Day (18th to 20th April, 2009) selection trials for Sports Quota Admission to Engineering, Management, Science and Humanities, Hotel Management and Paramedical courses. The selection trials will be held in
Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Athletics (20th April, 2009); Tennis
Badminton, Kabaddi ,Ball Badminton,Table Tennis , Football , Hockey , Chess , Cricket

Eligible Players (both men and women) are requested to report along with their testimonials and certificates by 9.00a.m. On 18th April, 2009 at the SRM University Main Campus, Kattankulathur. For football, hockey and cricket, only men are requested to attend.

HOW TO APPLY:
There are three ways.

Get application form for Rs. 750 by cash/ DD favouring SRMIST, payable at Chennai, from the university/ HO/ branches of State Bank of India, Indian Bank, City Union Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, Axis Bank and Post Offices. The filled in application to be sent to the Dean (Admissions)

Issue of Application Forms:
Application Forms and information brochures will be available at the University Office and at the University Campus, Head Office (#3, Veerasamy Street, West Mambalam, Chennai - 600 033) on payment of Rs. 750 by cash or by post with a DD for Rs. 750 favouring SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Candidates can also apply online or download the application form from the University website. It can also be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 750 from all main branches of Axis Bank, City Union Bank Limited, Indian Bank, Karur Vysya Bank Limited, State Bank of India and Post Offices.

The completed application should be sent to the university so as to reach before the last date specified. Once the candidate is selected, he/ she will be notified of the date and time of counseling. The counseling procedure will be on the basis of the performance in the SRM EEE.
