A leading MLA of Pune is providing support to a group of Land Grabbers in Pune.

The Park Street society in Wakad town of Pune, consists of Apartment Buildings, Raw Houses and Bunglows. The proportion of total land of the society across Apartment Buildings and Raw Houses + Bunglows is about 35:65. The Bunglow owners have reached to Divisional Deputy Registrar (DDR) to get a separate the society and get conveyance for the land they are occupying. Similarly, the Row House owners also have done the same. In practice, this will mean that about 160 owners of Raw House and Bunglows will hold 65% of land and about 380 owners of Apartment Flats will hold 35% of the land. This is absolutely unjustifiable separation and should not be allowed by any court or judicial officer.

However, the MLA in question is pressurising DDR to allow this separation. This has come up during our discussion with DDR. He has clearly mentioned that he has a pressure of the MLA to separate the society. So, it is going to happen. Nobody can do anything about it.

This means, the Apartment Flat owners are going to loose their share of land, just because the MLA wants that way and even if it is injustice.

We have a solicitor who is trying to help us, however, the clear opinion (unofficial) from DDR is that nobody can do anything about it, since MLA wants it and he will proceed ahead with separation.
