Just think this Jan Lokpal Bill is not only the first step towards bringing down corruption but also the fact that if Lokpal is an independent authority, it can even dig out corruption cases even 40 years back so the government may be afraid that many of the politicians, government employees, their relatives, friends will be prosecuted for corruption for old cases also
