Officer not acknowledge the receipt

Is there is any law in which office is bound to give the acknowledgement on any receipt received by office ?

I cannot think of any such law at the moment. Nevertheless, there is a suggestion. If it is important to give that document to that office and the officer is not acknowledging the receipt, then you can send the letter by post through India Post. The receipt of this post can be served as an acknowledgement. Hope this helps
