Meerut issues

hello,
i am sanyam basran, from meerut city, very near to delhi. yesterday some one stole my freind's laptop from his house only. and nothing more was stolen, not even the bag. he took the laptop maybe in his shirt so that it become easy for him to only stole laptop and not the whole bag. me and my freind went to police station with the documents of the laptop and also with the photocopies of all necessary things. we talked to the thana adhayaksh and he asked us that how it got stoled , who was there in his family and then after one thing he said very strange. he asked us that if we think that the police is stupid or what, and he started abusing us that what we think police is fool that some theif came to house and only steal the laptop and nothing else. then we asked us that if he would be writing our FIR if more things were stolen or if he wanted that some more things should be missing from house, then he will write our FIR. then he scold us and told us to ran out from the office. i just want to ask that either we were wrong that we went to police for just a 40 thousands laptop missing from our house.. or there is any condition that police will write report only if things are stolen upto some price, like 40k or 1 lakh or maybe 2 lakh. i just want to know that what was our fault that some one stolen our things and we are the only one who get abused from these police so called public servants. today it made me cried because my father said that you are fool that you went to police for this matter. they will put you in jail in fake case if you argue them. and then what will happen to us. and also in future should i help my freinds in these situations or not.

because i am fed up of everyone. but i have faith in arvind kejriwal. i dont know if it is the original site, but i am writing this because i wanted to tell to somebody. maybe someday you find this mail and maybe you will reply me back.. that will be ok for me that some politician atleast replied to me on anything.

Dear Sanyam, i can't say much on this but this is fact that our legal system is of third grade and people don't want to do their jobs... very unfortunate but we all are facing this in different forms.

i agree with you. i was worried abt the thing that if someone misused the laptop in coming time then who will be responsible for it and police will say that ki hum log jhoot bol rahe hain and we didnt reported to police for FIR and then they will take action against us for no reason.
