For defeating the corrupt in elections

I hv following suggestions for educating our bholi bhali public re elections
1. hv a website dedicated to profiles of all the candidates of major parties in elections.
2. if its too bulky, can hv the tainted/criminal candidates from various parties only.
3. for the sitting MPs and MLAs (of the states going for election), can hv their credentials like no of days attended parliament, percentage of MP booty spend on welfare of their constituency etc.
4. advertise this website as an authentic source - not too difficult with the large database of youth already with IAC.
5. can also have a general party specific pages comparing their overall candidate quality like percentage of criminals fielded by the party, amt spend by them on elections etc.

Patriots feel free to add the suggestions on how to educate general public on the electoral reforms

Team Anna should stop becoming political. The idea of opposing Congress in elections is suicidal. Instead it should develop enough clout with the voters, that every candidate will seek it's endorsement. Endorse a candidate thru detailed screening, regardless of party. Publish findings. If none worth endorsing, call parties to bring new candidate. Or advise people not to vote.

Thats a good suggestion, though I feel there is no harm in being political.

Here I will like to differentiate between 'being political' and 'being politically aligned'. Team Anna should be political but not aligned for or against any party or group. All of us should be political by attending our local municipalities and Gram Sabha meetings and participating in decision making at our local govt level.

Let them be neutral to the extent of not endorsing any candidate and confine themselves to providing information re candidate on their website or office. They can also have people put in experiences of their interaction with that candidate, in an open forum. Like someone can write I went to meet this xzy candidate and he was drunk or with a criminal or was abusing etc etc.

By not being political , i mean Anna Movement should not play party politics upfront. It will devalue it's very purpose. It should aim to become a voters front not a party's front.

It needs to put together an elaborate methodology and mechanism on the process of endorsing a candidate. It may include organising citizens meetings with the candidates, researching their backgrounds, interviews etc. Once a candidate is endorsed by the Anna Movement, it will carry lot of weight in the minds of voters. It will add substantial value to our electoral process, which is otherwise High Command driven and Return on Investment driven.

If Anna Movement does not find any candidate worth endorsing, put in public arena the Janam Patri of all the major candidates. Get a clause included in the ballot papers, "none of the above".

In the end make candidates more important than the party.
