Strategy in Politics

I am of the firm view that foray into direct politics should be avoided since the stand taken till now as an impartial social activist shall now get tinged with self interest since the allegations will be taken as coming from an opposition & not from a social activist.
However, if ground sell opinion is still contrary to above, I suggest a strategy of selective political participation, rather than a complete plunge. That way IAC will still be different from the other parties as also conserve its funds for the long haul.
Coming to the selection of the seats for participation, as we are all aware, the opposition to Lokpal has come primarily from the Congress & a few of its allies, viz., Lallu, Mulayam, Mayawati,etc.,. Hence in the first round atleast, contesting should be restricted to the 15 tainted union ministers seats(now 14)+the constitencies of the party leaders of all regional parties that are opposed to the Lokpal. This way, though IAC will not get the numbers, but shall still act as a threat to those parties that are not agreeable to a strong Lokpal. The day the Lokpal is formed, this party should be disbanded.
