a self cleansing system

I think we must adopt a multi pronged strategy for removal of corruption.Lokpal Bill is just the beginning.Politicians and other vested interest will oppose it.We already had a glimpse of hurdles created by a concerted smear campaign by Shri Digvijay Singh and Shri Amar Singh and now Behan Sushri Mayawati.Just wondered why Mulayam Singh ji and Shri Shri Lalu Yadav Ji have kept so quiet.Never mind. They probably will choose their own time. Now coming to the topic under discussion, I do not know how many of you read what Mr.Swaminathan Aiyyar writes in Times of India. But I definitely like the idea of a self cleansing system. The moment a politician gets elected he/she tries every possible trick to save himself from any inquiry into his corrupt practices. So he first gains power by adopting the corrupt ways and then the state machinery which should punish the corrupt, starts to shield him. So,let us create a foolproof system where as soon as a corrupt person gets elected the state machinery gets in action and within a time limit of,say, two years he is behind bars and whatever he has looted is recovered from him and his relatives by the state. And his case is fast tracked in a special court after the investigation by the Lokpal/Lokayukta concludes that he must face criminal charges in a court of law.Think about it.The sentencing should also be such that an example is made out of those who seek money and power by corrupt means in future.Jai Hind.Vande Mataram.

IAC is demanding as Anna said that all corrupt Govt. Officers and Leaders and Ministers must be thrown into JAIL. But everybody know that leaders, officers make honeymoon in JAIL also. There is special or VIP ward for them like hospitals. Where they enjoy all the facilities A.C., Drink, TV, Bed, Lighting, Mobiles. and police serves them like personal servants round the clock. Not only leaders like Laloo Yadav, underworld don like Abu Salem and terrorist like Ajmal Kasab enjoy our weakest democratic and dirtyest political system. THIS POINT MUST BE CONSIDERED DEEPLY AND SINSERELY OTHERWISE ALL THE MOVEMENT AND JANLOKPAL BILL WILL BE GO INTO DUSTBIN DIRECTLY.

Any corrupt and terrorist must not treated as special even if he is VIP. They must be treated like general prisoner and must be forced to do labor hardly. They must not be entertained in any way in any case. Jail must be on vigilance several times by several high level autonomous officers randomly like CAG, CVC, JLP etc.

Besides this 2 constitution amendments are necessary annexure :

1. CBI must be autonomous body. IAC must fight hardly for this. And murder like cases must not given to CBI. It formed for Anti Corruption not for crime investigation. CID must be strengthened for crime cases.

2. Police must be under fully control of High Courts instead of State Govt.

We must not allow government much elbow room. We must pressurize the government to accept the draft we have put forth. Else, we should show them that we mean business and that we would not let matter pass. The whole world is witnessing turbulence which can well be called a churning process for bringing in a new and corruption free environment. We will fail in our duty if we cannot force the government to agree to the draft of Lok Pal Bill.
1. I do agree with the opinion of Mr NC Sinha.

2. To give power to the President to appoint the committee is of no use as HE is almost always a puppet in the hands of the Government with no ethics as on date. Shame to us and our present system !

3. The best way at present is to support the Jan Lokpal Bill in the present form without any resistance and if any anomaly is felt , it can be corrected later on. Om Shanti

Corruption is not only a financial issue!

I am dead against corruption, but we are bit too much concerned with financial corruption, specially if it is done by some politicians. politicians are responsible for corruption in India is half truth. if bribe taking is a crime then giving bribe is also a crime, we need to punish both. persons like Anna Hazareji & his associates have worked for their majority of life battling this meance of corruption but it has incresed manifold! why? because sinister people are always smarter then those who are fighting them! Lokpal Bill will definately bring down corruption, but ordinary people like me have to be more vigilant. MPs & MLAs are bought by providing lucrative portfolios, how this meance will be stopped? last, but not least we need to make these graft cases settled in time bound manner and let's show potential corrupt persons that people are being punished & punished quickly. Thank You for providing me opportunity to post my views.

The veiws presented by Mr Neeraj Malhotra are worth considering and must be presented to the Members of Joint Committee for drafting the latest (Jan) Lok Pal Bill ! Very good points.

As per draft Lokpal Bill, I have little point to make about Section 7 "Removal of Chairperson or members" Point No "3". As per this point in case Lokpal himself is found guilty, then SC will hear case against lokpal. Concern here is that, since Judicial system itself may be corrupt, so how can be ensured that case against lokpal will be done in entirely fair manner rather than in corrupt.

Gentle men it's mine opinion "Do not make pressure on any individual or Government to accept our anti corruption views. Let them do their work and be sure to do our work (spreading anti corruption views all over the country)..............."

Much water has flown down the lane. Looks as though the government has realized its folly and is willing to go the distance. While this still be a moot point and we may be forced to keep our fingers crossed simply because these politicians can always spring some surprise/ Be that as it may, we must continue our onward march. Many welcome suggestions have come on the Jan Lokpal bill that is proposed by the Civil Society, I might like to replace the word 'misbehaviour' wherever it occurs in the draft with the expression 'acts of misdemeanour' as this seems more logical and legally more definable.

Worthy point to be noted by jan lok pal committe. Man commiting a small theft is undergoing serious hardships whereas politicians and bureaucrats swalloing crores and crores of rupees and enjoying their punishment term as their vacation(only thing which makes them sad is their families are not there).
