Appeasement of dalits who boycotted the movement

After Team Anna ended the present movement on 28th August, a salute by Shri Arvind Kejriwal to Ambedkar and his constitution was very disheartening. And choosing a dalit girl for offering coconut water and honey to Anna ji was also of a bad taste. Today dalits like this generosity by upper class who clean the place which will be occupied by the dalits. Dalits were not participating in the movement then why a dalit was chosen for this holy cause? Why not a child of one of the active members of this movement? This occasion is not a win of Anna ji alone but the entire team who prepared ground for this movement. This movement was incomplete without Kejriwal, Kiran Bedi,Prashant Bhushan,Manish Sisodia and others. The same way, Ambedkar was not alone in drafting the constitution of India. Because he happened to be chairman of that committee, his name came forward. The policy of appeasement at that time is proving to be costly now. They provided reservations to the really needy only for 10 years but continuing even after 61 years (3 generations), now Lakhpati and crorepati dalits are still taking this benefit. Not only that, when talked of removing the creamy layers, they show us red eyes. Please ensure that not a single dalit is taken in the panel which would be another blunder.

Dont expect comments from a true Indian after such a fabulous victory of the people of India. What Annaji and Arvind did was at least a symbolic gesture but may be it was more than that. If we are dreaming of a developed India we have to take everyone i.e. the rich and the poor of India together, and that is what Anna and Arvind did. I salute to them. This movement was fabulously led by Annaji, Kiranji, Prashantji and Arvind so they deserve all the credit for generating such a positive momentum in India.
With regards to why Dr. Ambedkar gets credit for drafting our Constitution, you really needs to do research in to this and you will get the answer.
With regards to reservations, it was to bring the oppressed in to main stream and it did to an extent. Ten years were definitely inadequate to bring those who were oppressed for zillions of years in to main stream and so this was extended. This needs a reassessment from time to time with proper census to change our policies and with due time this will happen since many people from OBC and even SC/ST are in urban elite class but there are many living in villages who need help due to the prevalence of the feudal system.
This movement had nothing to do with caste or class so why talk of it. As far as the representatives in the Panel is concerned we will have to leave it to the Parliament to decide. So my dear friend dont sulk after this great victory of Indian people and enjoy it.

we are true indians , so get united and celebrate this victory together ........ there is no place for discrimination on the basis of caste or religion in such a great movement ......

Do not call it an "appeasement". it was a counter stroke against those who were playing the dirty card of cast/religion. of course, what we saw was not pleasing, it would have been better to include those two children with others sitting on the stage. what would one reply to those children who were denied? selection on caste/religion basis is not so bad as the rejection on same ground. As far as reservation and other such topics are concerned this is not the right time to talk about. this is the time to celebrate and celebrate and celebrate..................

I am with you with my heart and soul in this celebration. My views can not be ignored or dismissed because I have done some study on our past mistakes which are proving to be burden on our coming generations. I could have avoided this write-up but the events on the stage prompted me to remind you that we have to take care of those who participated actively. Can you remember the face of that little petty girl sitting beside Annaji and other privileged girls? Was she not eager to offer juice on such a great occasion? She was denied because she was perhaps from open category.Our freedom fighters have sacrificed their lives and properties to see this face of our country? How many dalits have sacrificed their lives? You ask any dalit to fast even for a single day and see the result. I visited many places and found that dalits were openly opposing this movement. This forced me to write this message.

Ur views are right at their place. The events on stage not only on the final day, but throughout, everyday in the evening, having roja iftaar on stage, was not it looking like promotion of islaam? but ............u have to understand what is right or wrong for the movement at the time. see the opponents were trying to label this movement right from the begining. First they told RSS is backing , then USA and when both these charges failed they said muslims and Dalits are missing from this movement. The whole effort was to label the movement. As soon as they would have succeded, from next day polarisation of political parties would have started. Leaving behind the main issue of Corruption , the gathering may have been labeled as of upper class Hindus. This labeling may had given the government a chance to apply force as they did with Ramdev. Baba Ramdev was very much capable of gathering people at large number throughout the country but that gathering was labeled. They were not people of india they were followers of Baba. Thats why the government succeded by applying force.
So what team Anna did was required to save that gathering from being labeled. They were not worried of if their will be roja - iftaar or anna drinks from a dalit and muslim girl the other people will leave this movement. no we r not going to leave this but on the other hand this movement may have been in trouble.
so everything except leaving out those general category children was right , need of the hour.

After reading your views, m really feeling bad after 64 years of independence you are still talking about castism. I dont know where you seen, that the dalits have not taken part in this movement, might be you have seen the dalits which were unaware of what the movement is about. I can show you many dalits which took part in this movement. You have seen lakhpatis and carodpati dalits, but have you ever visited a place where dalits are still struggling to earn single penny to fill their stomach. Its victory which is important and not the castism. Because of some people you cant blame to whole dalit community.

I do not know in which world you are living even after 64 years of independence? Do you know each and every office across the country has associations of schedule caste and schedule tribe in the name of caste? Not only that, recently schedule caste and schedule tribe have formed an association of dalit entrepreneurs and businessmen "DICCI" D for dalit. On the contrary, Savarnas have not formed any national level association so far. Do you know all the reservation benefits are taken in the name of caste? You know everything but deliberately you people are misguiding the general category youths. Moreover when we talk of Lakhpati and crorepati dalits, you divert it to BPL(Below poverty line) families. Can you dare to withdraw the reservation benefits from rich SC/ST and replace them with BPL families?
