Dear Friends,

I respect all views.
But battles are not fought without weapons and participation in war.Nothing is impossible.Anna is fighting for last 32 years against corruption and what is the improvement?Today he is 74 years old .How long we keep on expecting him alone to fast again and again ,with such strong and totally corrupt politicians? Recent scames of 2G,Rashtrakul,Reddy mines scam in Karnataka are so huge that we even cant imagine. How long we will sit on the bank and keep on making coments? We must jump in the water sometime. Its already late.It is just impossible to expect from any existing political party to honestly stop corruption.
Countries like China,Korea,Japan,Malaysia are where and we are where?Second largest population of the world with best manpower is leading in what direction?40% common men are still struggling for two times basic food. Why and how long?
Actually Anna must form a political party and contest upcoming Loksabha elections, which he categorically refused. So this proposal.
All people in politics cant be corrupt. It is today's system which forces many to go on wrong path.Hence,I propose to change the path itself,so all will be welcomed to go in right direction.
Almost all present political parties are corrupt. Not a single has honest wish to end corruption.Hence,in my opinion, formation of new political party should be the right direction.
I am ready to take lead,if all of you support honestly.
Let all of us dream for our Sujlam Suphlam Bharat !

Best regards

Mull the question

Friends,
Some IAC members in parliament will not cut much ice. If what you suggest is really going to happen, then some members cannot do anything. Lokpal bill will be passed there is hardly any doubt about that. An atmosphere has been created by Anna. There is no credible escape route for the government. So the bill will be passed. The moot point is what will happen after the passage of the bill. Will it be implemented in the intended spirit? That is highly doubtful. As you have rightly said that as most of them are corrupt; they will therefore see to it that the whole movement and janlokpal stands discredited by the time the bill is passed by the parliament. The process has already begun. Team Anna has already begun to disintegrate. Charges are flying high every now and then. Now Kiran Bedi too has decided to return the excess money she had charged. This only goes to prove she had erred. These people had thrust upon themselves a great responsibility, responsibility of remaining clean. That somehow got smeared now. Already, the members of team are speaking in different and cacophonous voices forcing Anna to go mute. This is what all the corrupt people--and they are in majority and are very powerful--were trying to get at. Have no doubts, the bill will be passed with some or no modification. Remember, Rajiv Gandhi too had a bill called anti-defection law passed by the parliament after much fuss. Has it dented defection at all? Polity and politics have continued to be what they were, or rather have nosedived further. Here too, what would be the fate of the lokpal bill after it is passed? Anna team has already lost much of its sheen because of its own members who chose to drift apart. When they drifted apart now, how can one be sure they will stick together in the parliament if they chose to be there? Please mull the question, you'll find the answer.

Dear friends,
Annaji himself has said that if he or his team fights election then they may lose because they don't have money power.
We should keep certain rules like a) min. education level b) Wealth less than say 1 crore c) non corrupted background d) condtion to resign if certain level corruption is found e) assurance of keeping minimum inflation level. f) Kids less than 2. g) Retirement at the age of 60 h) No securities of any class. If someone dies w/o security he/ she should be given same facility as any army person gets.
i) every day 9 hours duty in their elected areas. Saturday , sunday off from routine jobs but meeting to solve major problems.

I know lots of questions and arguments can be made in above points but are just illustrative. Even a job of Rs 5000/- has some requirements, but to fight election there is nothing. Even person of age above 80 (advani ) wants to be PM. Rahul Gandhi at the age of 45 is considered young leader.

Friends,

Thanks for your views.
I agree that this is not an easy task. But someone of us has to do it.It is the requirement of time.If we start today,it will work after some period. But it has to be done.
Even if Lokpal Bill with some modifications is passed, after 64 years of independance,do you think that it will be implimented in its real sense? I doubt.
Forces outside Parliament and Vidhan Sabhas have very limited scope.
Though not the Party in Govt.,even if a group of 25-30 MPs is created,it can make lot of difference, for stopping corruption.Today,no such group is seen in any existing parties.
Allegations made on Team Anna are baseless and prejudiced.People will not give more importance to such allegations.
If we get blessings, guidance and moral support of these respected personalities,it will help.Fortunately,I am from Pune, which is the district of Annaji.
We need to create our devoted, honest and educated members in each state, before we approach anybody.
Money will not be our power.Honesty, devotion, hardwork and patriotism will be our power.

Unhappy Hurdles galore

Passing of one lokpal bill is proving to be a herculean task. What you propose here is a plethora of rules. Pray, who will pass these rules? These very politicians
who are creating so many hurdles and doing everything to break the backbone of this movement. Now Bishwabandhu Gupta too has joined the team out to destroy what Anna built so assiduously.

Prescriptions are good, but who is going to administer them and from where do we get the syringe to inject them into the body politic. Lets not think of opening too many fronts at a time when we are unable to hold on to just one. Let us concentrate all our energy on passing of lokpal bill instead by bringing all kinds of pressure on the government and by remaining steadfast in the face of constant barrage of unsubstantiated charges against each and every member of the team. Team Anna too needs to remain vigilant and discreet enough and not indulge in any of those things that might give detractors opportunity to cause further damage. Enough damage has already been caused. There are hurdles galore and we should be wary of them and not launch anything new that we may not be able to control.

An honest & clean Political Outfit is a must!

Dear All,

(A) Thread given below along with a Poll Option was posted by me about 4 days ago and the same is being reproduced here once again. It may also be mentioned that I joined this Forum only in October 2011 and had not read the Thread " Should Shri Anna Hazare form a Political Party? ", before posting my comments. Both Threads are opposite sides of the same coin and I strongly feel that these issues need to be deliberated and discussed further and taken to some logical conclusion.

(B) As most of the readers don't believe in reading long arguements and replies there to, a Poll Option has been incorporated in my THREAD ( Reproduced Below ). May I therefore request all the readers / viewers to cast their vote on the Poll Options and facilitate in drawing some concrete inference for these Threads. This shall also help in keeping our Democratic Traditions fully in saddle, where polls are the final word for everything.

(C) I have also kept my follow up comments on the Thread below ( as mentioned in Para 3 ) in obeyance, for similar reasons as cited therein, and shall revert back on the same in due course so that un-biased views on the subject can be given by all concerned.

With regards,

Mohinder Bajwa.

5th November 2011.

REPRODUCED THREAD

" CAN OBJECTIVES OF SHRI ANNA HAZARE'S CRUSADE AGAINST CORRUPTION BE ACHIEVED THROUGH NON-POLITICAL MEANS ONLY? ".

1. Thoughts on the subject ibid had been crossing my mind for quite some time. After due consideration, following was posted by me on YAHOO on 9th October 2011:-

“ Though a Diagnosis & subsequent Surgery of our Current Corrupt Political System, carried out through AN EFFECTIVE JAN LOKPAL BILL, will help to some extent in tackling corruption, the seeds of corruption sown by various dispensations over the period can only be dug out and destroyed by some well meaning Political Organisation led by SHRI ANNA HAZARE. It is therefore extremely essential that INDIA AGAINST CORRUPTION FORUM & ANNA'S TEAM start working towards this at the earliest and invite views / get feedback from THE AAM AADMI for realising the same. They ( IAC FORUM, ANNA'S TEAM & All Fighting Against Corruption ) should not get into the TRAP laid by Vested Interests that SHRI ANNA HAZARE should carry out drive against corruption through NON-POLITICAL MEANS only “.

2. May I therefore request all Learned Members of the IAC FORUM, ANNA'S TEAM and CORE COMMITTEE MEMBERS to give their views on above and deliberate / pursue the matter further with POINTS FOR & AGAINST duly brought out and with FULL JUSTIFICATION.

3. I shall be posting my personal analysis of some Main Issues of COMPAIGN AGAINST CORRUPTION and more views on the subject subsequently so that it does not pre-empt in any way the mind / ideas of LEARNED CONTRIBUTORS.

With regards,

Mohinder Bajwa.

Dear Sir you are right.Shri Annaji's gream of staying apolitical and fighting for Janlokpal at this juncture can be construed right, but as was what the politician's where questioning whether a bill can be passed from streets is there motive we the members of this movement should join hands in persuade our Leader and his team to keep the options to join the main stream. If we are driven towards that post winter session it would be apt that we formulate strategies at local levels to strenghthen and popularise our movement and be prepared for 2014 Elections,if that is the way out for the people of this country,Jai Hind.G.Vaman-IAC-Coimbatore.

But it will very difficult to find out suitable honest people for every constituency. Everybody will claim they are honest, later once it will come out that most of them are corrupt. Once enjoying the taste and security of politics they will also start corruption. Then as usual that will also a political party like the present parties. It will damage the images of the honest members also in that party. But it is really a good idea to send some believable people to parliament as the representative of IAC through election, as they can raise voice in parliament and conduct active debates there. I think it is not a difficult task to send few members to parliament.

Lokayukta Bill-Bihar

Opposing for the sake of opposing is not the right thing to do, particularly for those who are spearheading a movement aimed at ameliorating the lot of the people by attacking the malaise of corruption. There is no denying the disease is deep rooted and will take time to heal, to go. Uttarakhand has passed the Lokayukta bill and Bihar is in the process of doing so. In Bihar the bill has neither taken final shape, nor the last word has been said on it. Initially, it seemed what Nitish has proposed is what the congress had presented in the parliament. If that be the case, we must fight it out. But what if that is not the case? The volunteers at Patna have decided to burn the copies of the bill that is yet to acquire the shape of a bill. We burnt the copies of Lokpal bill because that bill was presented in the parliament. We are in the thick of a movement. It is none of our business to antagonize everybody. Nitish has promised to give a bill that will live up to the expectations of the people of Bihar. Should we not wait instead of jumping the gun? If perchance the government presents a bill that satisfies our demands? Will it not mean we shall have burnt our own bill? No true Annaite will every jump the gun.
