Lives lost while waiting for the Lok Pal

India's population in 1970-thats about the period when the Lok Pal was first introduced-was about 55 crores. Assuming about 30% of the population was over 30 years then, almost 16 crore people who may have wanted a Lok Pal at that time may or had suffered from corruption, may not even be alive today! How sad! I was then in 7th standard - and now at 50 if we get rubbish Lok Pal- which may get perfected in 30 to 40 years, would I be alive then? When I look at my relatives in 1970 and now, almost 60% are not even alive today, including my mother. So, is it unreasonable to demand for an ALMOST perfect Lok Pal? I have read the Sarkari Lok Pal and am appalled and numb after reading its inbuilt draconian, ulterior motives. Some may easily criticize Anna's way of protesting, but do those people have an alternative? After all those who waited are already in heavens! My conscience says I must support Anna's Jan Lok Pal, even though there are some elements I am not in agreement with, but largely I am for it.
