Credential of the persons at the govt side was always doubtful thats da team was made with with the person who were supposed to be of higher moral and credentials.Any controversy will damage the basic purpose of the movement although was started by ANNA but was the honest efforts of the citizens.

In my view, we should let the Captain (Anna Hazare) decide on all issues like whether the Bhushans should quit or stay. We should just rally behind him.

As we can see, even among well meaning people who want to eradicate corruption, there are different views. If all of us express our own opinions, if the corrupt politicians raise 4 such issues, we'll be divided into 16 camps, and the movement will fizzle out.

Instead, if we place our faith in Anna's judgment (regardless of whether it is right or wrong... no one knows for sure what is right and what is wrong on such issues; all views are subjective) we will all still stand united as one movement, and have a chance to succeed. The need of the hour is unity among Anna's followers.

It's almost impossible to re-create this situation and momentum if we fail now. Let's not contribute to its failure.

Surely, each of us will have our own opinions on such issues. Let's keep our views to ourselves; let's not even discuss or debate them in public.

Even those close to Anna should not discuss these things in public without consulting Anna.

Let's just let one driver (Anna Hazare) drive the movement forward.

Let's spread this message of unity behind Anna among our friends and well meaning citizens, through conversation, email, teletalk and every means possible.

Ganesan. :~)

Thumbs up Bhusans should continue

Bhusans are legal practitioner. They will defend to any one who engages them as their Counsel. They have expertise on law making, we should restrict ourselves to their role as legal experts in drafting committee. If we go on scanning it will be difficult to find NISHKALANK law makers. After all we need such Lok Pal Bill passed which can effectively tackle the problem of corruption at higher level.

Forbearance required at this critical juncture

I have a theory that pigs and politician must have some similarities. But pigs may be slightly better because it is in their nature to rake in filth.Rank and file of political class know that so long nobody creates a regulation to punish them they can do anything they want.People in India and some civil society members have dared to stand up to one of the most corrupt political classes in the world and questioned their motives. The motive is clear enter politics to make as much money as possible in shortest span of time and only oblige your cronies who in return oblige you.African states are better than our current political class .If we falter at this juncture to let politicians ride roughshod over the general public anger against corruption,if any of the members leave at this point in time politician will see that the Lok Pal Bill gets diluted further.WE MUST NOT LET THAT HAPPEN.LET US ALL BE VERY SUSPICIOUS OF THEIR HIDDEN AGENDA AND REMAIN UNITED IN RAISING OUR VOICE AGAINST CORRUPTION AND NOT WHO DID WHAT IN THE PAST.QUESTIONING ANYONE'S PAST IN INDIA IS FULL OF HAZARDS.JAI HIND.

I hope they don't quit, but sadly they might !

If we the people allow the gutter politicians to force the Bhushans to quit, I think we should also bid goodbye to the Lokpal & any hope of fighting corruption in India. Face it - a country that can so easily give in to an obvious villification campaign run by a class of people that can stoop to any depth to protect their privileges - does not deserve anything better than the sorry country we currently have. I hope the Bhushans dont quit, but sadly they might just decide that if even the public start chattering on the basis of these innuendos, then they have nothing to gain except unnecessary harassment from staying in the panel !

Question fighting 4 BHUSHANS, not 4 corruption

Now i think Anna's main mission (india against corruption) is missing, now some member of the group is only fighting 4 BHUSHANS, not 4 corruption.
there are many more intelligent people in the civil society then Bhushans in our country, they can be included in the group.
Bhushans have meaningfull corruption charges, then why Bhushans?
how 2 Bhushans give guarantee that he will make draft free & fair which is not fever 2 him or his type?
Anna had told so many times that he do'nt know Bhushan well, then why Bhushan is more important then Anna?
Its look like people of the Anna's group is fulfilling their ambition by using the name of ANNA.
Anna is the only name in which we started 2 believe, he should not be like heired by someone 4 their personal agenda!
Anna: people looking towards you not the person who busy in their PC, please come forward & clear the issue.

Now it seems all the civil society committee members are defending a bhushan family whose integrity is doubtful. All civil society members are busy in image building of a family whose integrity is questionable. It seems to me Politician members in the committee are more clean than some of the members of civil society. Bhushan and company should quit the committee asap.

I think we're digressing. Let's leave the issue of Bhushans to Anna and just support the movement rather than answer every question coming our way.

It was basically Anna who first espoused the cause and went on fast unto death, and we just rallied behind him. As long as we have faith in him, let's leave it to his best judgment on how to handle this and all other issues that get thrown in.

Let's understand that all of us have some intelligence and all of us think in different ways. So, all of us are right in some ways, and all of us could be wrong in some other ways. There's some subjectivity when we discuss the issue of Bhushans (or similar issues). Let's discuss both the prons and cons of retaining Bhushans.

Why we should avoid Bhushans? When we're fighting corruption, why give room for people (well meaning and otherwise) to fault the citizen's committee?

Why should Bhushans be retained?
This is not an office of profit. It is just a membership of a committee to draft the Bill, and has a very limited role and lifetime. It is believed that Bhushans are well equipped to contribute to this significantly. Are the Bhushans the only ones well equipped? Mention any other names, and you could ask the same question. It can never be answered to everyone's satisfaction.

Let's hypothetically say that ALL of us have been corrupt in some way, some time or the other. Does it mean that we should not make a beginning and try to put an end to corruption, just because NONE of has been 100% clean? Since the citizens' representation has 3 others, viz., Anna himself, Justice Hegde and Arvind, let's understand that they will make sure nothing goes amiss.

You bring in any name, and I'm sure someone will bring up some objection, showing some folly, fairly or unfairly (or at least cast a doubt. Didn't they attempt to find some silly fault with Justice Hedge)? So, does it mean we can't make a beginning? Do we believe all the 5 members nominated by the Government are clean?

As we can see, there's no right or wrong answer in such situations. It's best to leave the decision to Anna Hazare, the leader, to take a call on this. We should avoid taking any positions, more so strong positions; if we do, we'll only weaken the movement, which is what the detractors want.

we should just focus on the lok pal bill drafting and since they bhushans have got the expertise and are associated with the nuances of the bill they should be retained and the civil society may tell the govt that they be tried if they have to under the lok pal bill
our endeavor should be the drafting of the lok pal bill and see that it is passed in the parliament and really becomes a good tool against corruption.
now tell me what is amar singhs locus standi everyone knows that amar singh is acting on someone's behest and does he command any moral authority or digvijay singh both are political people and will try to put impediments in the movement.
and can you vouch for the integrity of the ministers on the panel and hasn't the civil society compromised by allowing the ministers to be on the panel likewise we should leave aside all the allegations against the bhushans and see that no further delay takes place to bring the sternest version of jan lokpal bill and the matter doesnt end there it is only a beginning we should try to make the police, cbi, income tax dept, customs etc autonomous departments.also the govt should be limited to defence, finance, home .currently politics is most profitable business and once politics is made unremunerative the people with a real will to serve the public will emerge in the social milieu
