Reasons of Corruption

Corruption is caused due to powers vested in authority. More the authority, more is the corruption in terms of numbers and in terms of quantum of money exchange took place. The authority having the powers and discrition (choice) will lead to corruption. In government, in recent past the volume of work has gone up but proportionate increase in manpower has not and hence, automatically, the discrition got vested with the government officials. As such the government officials in general, are said to be more corrupt than other people in general. However, corruption also prevails in private sector. The nature of benifits received need not be only in the form of money but it can vary to such a extent, imagination is the limit for it.

So who is responsible for the corruption? People who do not employ the adequate man power or those who ask for it, or those who offer the bribe?
