Post Why Anna Hazare & his team should contest election?

Here are some arguments, why the decision of not contesting the election by Anna Hazare and his team is wrong.

1. Jan Lokpal Bill has proposed major changes in current political system of India:
Main argument given for not contesting the election is that every citizen cannot contest election for this or that small pity issues. Here are some questions for India Against Corruption team and to other people who support their decision not to contest election.

Whether making a super power institution that has control over all constitutional bodies is a small issue?

Whether amendment of the Constitution and breaking our federal system is a small issue?

Whether challenging Parliament’s constitutional power of Law Making is a small issue? It is worth noting here that Parliament is not that round building but the duly elected public representatives called MPs.

Whether fighting against corruption is a small issue?

2. Supremacy of ‘Jan Sansad’(Parliament of Public) : Anna Hazare and his team claims that they have public support from all over the India, and most of people watching foreign TV channels like Zee News, Star News etc. are agree with them. Actually they are speaking the language of Hurriyat Conference who claims to be real representative of people of Kashmir but never agree to prove their support through participating in the elections. Supporters of Hurriyat conference say that on their call people of Kashmir valley come in the streets immediately and valley becomes stand still, therefore it is clear that all public of Kashmir support their idea. Any one agrees with their argument? The same argument is being given by IAC team and their supporters.
3. Many clauses of Jan Lokpal Bill will destabilize the system therefore not acceptable: I do not think any government who has responsibility of running the country can do all such idiots things desired by IAC team. If Govt. pass the Jan Lokpal bill and due to this law an innocent doctor or railway man is removed from service, which is quite possible as Jan Lokpal bill gives prosecution and judiciary power to single body Lokpal. Due to this lokpal action if doctors or railway men go on strike, who will deal with situation – Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal or Kiran Bedi, of course not, Govt. has to deal with them. But how, according to Jan Lokpal bill Govt. or Parliament has no control over Lokpal. Lokpal can be removed only by Supreme Court and that is also on certain conditions. Lokpal is not accountable to public as claimed by IAC team, actually that is only accountable to Supreme Court which is also under the purview of Lokpal.
4. Anna Hazare and his team want Law Making powers without taking any responsibility: Parliament is open to all citizen of India any persons who wants to make law according to his choice can contest election and after winning the election he can propose any type of law in Parliament. Laws made by Parliament are enforced on all the people of country, therefore he must have support of majority in Parliament. After implementing the law if anything goes wrong then MPs passing the Law are responsible. Actually Anna Hazare and his team do not want to take any responsibility but just want the power of Making Laws according to their choice.
5. Honesty is proved when someone has powers: Being honest without holding any public office powered with ultimate decision making power is an easy job, but being a minister having ultimate decision power and then being honest is a totally different thing.
6. Argument of not contesting election due to unfair election process does not have any truth: Some people argue that elections in India are not fair and honest person cannot win the election. This is again perception created by media controlled by foreign companies. If this would have been true how the State Governments of Bihar, UP and West Bangal changed through elections? These states are considered having bad law and order conditions. After introduction of EVM election process in India has become much fair. Incidents of election frauds have reduced considerably and rare incidents do not affect the election results. The claims of purchasing the votes also have very little truth as voting is completely confidential and there are large numbers of voters in every constituency. Actually while voting honesty of a candidate is not a parameter for selecting a candidate for vote, public vote according to caste, religion, or region of the candidate or due to lucrative promises made by candidate. Public is making corrupt persons ministers – boss of all bureaucracy- and expect honest behavior of bureaucracy, how it is possible.
7. Political system established by Constitution of India has no problem but the users of the system, who are not performing their duties honestly. Our so called educated people (Although they do not have any knowledge of political system, Constitution of India and such other things) of middle and higher class hate politics and do not participate in election process. Anna Hazare and his team are supporting this mentality and discouraging democratic process by criticizing the whole political system this will be dangerous for a democratic system.
8. Anna Hazare and his supporters are in wrong country:- Teaching Democracy to duly elected MPs by the persons who do not even want to participate in basic democratic process of election is point less. I think Anna Hazare and his supporters are in wrong country they should have been in counties like China, Burma or any African country where Army General or Kings are ruling the country and these corrupt public representative and faulty election process are not available.
9. Our MPs are not Uneducated’ and ‘Ganvar’. The claims of IAC team do not tally with facts. Our more than 80% MPs are Graduate or Post Graduate. Please visit the link for details. Are Indian MPs 'anpadh'? Not at all show parliament records - boloji.com
One another point, whether Anna Team member and their supporter ever thought how much their leader Shri Anna Hazare is educated? If a person’s ideology is supported by public and people think him fit for representing their view and desires then his education does not matter much. Our ‘Anpad’ and ‘Ganvar’ MPs should be seen in this context. Citizens/Voters of constituency of these MPs consider them fit for representing them in Parliament, so after their duly election no one should question their ability. If anyone is not satisfied with his service he has chance to vote against him in next election.
10. Public elect corrupt politician again and again: One another argument is given by supporter of IAC movement that politician are honest until they are not elected, after they won elections immediately become corrupt. If this is true then why so many MPs are elected again and again. If public wants these corrupt MPs to represent them again then who can help?
11. Conclusion: Team Anna should contest election on BJP’s ticket, which is pretending to support Jan Lokpal Bill, or float their own party this will strengthen our democratic system and give them chance to show their full skill to remove corruption from India. New generation should be guided to fulfill their wishes through constitutional ways not through pressure groups otherwise after some year various pressure groups will start ruling country instead of Political Parities. This will certainly risk our democratic system and national integrity.
