Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh -500 037, a Government of India Society under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, has invited applications for admission to the following Long Term Training Courses
(i).Post Graduate Course in Tool, Die & Mould Design (PGTD)
(ii).Post Diploma in Tool Design (PDTD)
(iii).Diploma in Tool, Die & Mould Making (DTDM)
(iv).Advanced Tool Maker's Course (ATM)

Post Graduate Course in Tool, Die & Mould Design (PGTD): The course recognized by the Govt. of India, Ministry of Education as an advanced Post Graduate qualification, is of 1½ years duration (3 Semesters). Applicant should have B.E/B.Tech (Mechanical & Production) or recognized equivalent qualification and should not be over 30 years of age (not born before 13.08.1979).* SC / ST applicants will have a relaxation up to 5 years. There is no age limit for Industry sponsored candidate. However age below 45 years is preferred. There are 32 seats under Self Sponsored category and 28 seats under Industry sponsored category. Selection is through Entrance Examination. The Course Fee is Rs. 60,000/- (Self sponsored category and Rs. 75,000/- (Industry sponsored category).

Post Diploma in Tool Design (PDTD) (Approved by AICTE, New Delhi): Applicant should have LME/DME or equivalent qualification recognized by State Board with an aggregate of minimum 60% marks for general category candidates and an aggregate of minimum 50% marks for SC/ST category candidate. Age of applicant should not be over 27 years (not born before 31.08.1982). However, SC/ST Candidates get a relaxation up to 5 years. There is no age limit for sponsored candidate. However age below 45 years is preferred. The course of 1 year (2 Semesters) duration has 32 Seats under Self sponsored category and 28 Seats under Industry sponsored category. Selection will be through Entrance Test. The Course Fee is Rs. 24,000/- (Self Sponsored category)/Rs. 30,000/- (Industry sponsored category)

DIPLOMA IN TOOL, DIE & MOULD MAKING (DTDM):
(Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and recognized by the State Board of Technical Edn., Govt. of A.P. as equivalent to DME) The duration of the course is 4 Years (8 Semesters). Applicant should have Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination from recognized University / Board with minimum 50% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST in aggregate). Applicant should have attained the age of 15 years but should not be more than 19 years (not born before 31.08.1990) Relaxation in age is available up to 5 years for SC/ST Candidates. There are 60 Seats for the course and selection will be through Entrance Examination. Course Fee is Rs. 12,000/- per Semester

ADVANCED TOOL MAKER'S COURSE (ATM):

Duration of the course is 2 years (4 Semesters). Applicant should have SSC/Metric with I.T.I. in any one of the trades - Tool & Die Maker / Fitter / Machinist/Turner. Upper age limit is 25 years (not born before 31.08.1984) with Relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST Candidates. There are 30 seats for the course. Selection will be based on merit in the qualifying examination (10th Class & ITI with weightage in the ratio of 50-50 respectively). Course Fee is Rs. 12,000/- per year.

Cost of application form for PGTD/PDTD/DTDM courses is Rs.500/- for all categories and Rs.250/- for SC/ST. For ATM Course, it is Rs.200/- and Rs./100/- respectively. There is no Application fee for PWD category.

Application form and Prospectus can be obtained from the Training Department, CITD., Balanagar, Hyderabad-37, on any working day between 9.30 am and 5 pm by paying the cost of Application in cash or as a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of 'Principal Director, CITD., Hyderabad', on any Nationalised Bank, preferably on State Bank of Hyderabad, Balanagar Branch, Hyderabad-37.

Application and Prospectus can be downloaded from www.citdindia.org and the filled in application form can be sent to Director (Training) CITD, Hyderabad along with prescribed cost of application from, by Demand Draft.

Applications can also be obtained by Post by sending the prescribed cost of Application* by Demand Draft along with a request for Application and Prospectus with name of the course applied for super scribed on the request and with a self addressed envelope of size 26 cms x 18 cms, affixed with postage stamp worth Rs. 15/-. SC/ST/PWD category candidates need to enclose a copy of proof of their category attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Those applicants who wish to be considered under sponsored category also should submit the sponsoring letter and experience certificate showing minimum 6 months post qualification, along with the application. There is no age limit for sponsored category. However age below 45 years is preferred. Duly filled-in Applications will be accepted at CITD till 5 pm on 23-06-09. It will be accepted up to 5 pm on 30.6.2009 with a late fee of Rs.200/-.

The tentative date for Entrance test to be held at Main Building, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad - 500 007 is 12.7.09.
