The Central Footwear Training Institute, Chennai, an autonomous Institution under Ministry of Small Scale Industries has invited* applications for Job oriented training programmes for the year 2010.
Courses and eligibility with age limit are as follows:
1 Diploma in Footwear Design & Production (2 Years): Candidates with a pass in 10+2 or equivalent having a maximum age of 25 years.
2 Post Graduate Diploma In Footwear Technology (1 year): Candidates with any Degree with an upper age of 35 years.
3 Post Diploma In Footwear Technology (1 year): Candidates with any Diploma and having a maximum age of 35 years.
4 Certificate Course in Footwear Technology (1 year): Candidate with a pass in 10th std. and with a maximum age* of 35 years.

Of the above course, DFDP is accredited to the International Textitle Institute, London, U.K. 22.5% seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates for which no tuition fees will be charged subjected to the production of caste certificate in original from competent authority at the time of submission of application and at the time of admission (two photocopies of caste certificate duly attested by Gazetted Officer is required to be enclosed along with application). For all the courses, SC/ST candidates are eligible for the relaxation of age by 5 years.
