leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science) February 2011 Batch


Indian Maritime University (IMU) has invited applications for admission to Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science) February 2011 Batch. Conduct of Common Entrance Test for admission to the course will be held on 19.12.2010.

Candidates seeking admission should be having the following Educational Qualification:

1. Pass in 10+2 examination from a recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), with not less than 55% aggregate marks in PCM.

OR

With Physics as an individual subject in any one of the years of B.Sc., with not less than 50% marks in the final year of B.Sc., from a recognized University provided that the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised Board.

OR

B.E./B. Tech. or it's equivalent degree from I.I.T. or from a college recognized by AICTE/UGC.

AND

2. Should have passed with not less than 50% marks in English as a separate subject, at either 10th or 12th standard or in the Degree programme conducted by a recognized Board University.

The Applications can be downloaded from the website www.imu.tn.nic.in. Such downloaded applications are to be submitted along with the demand draft valued Rs.800/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of "Indian Maritime University" payable at Chennai.

Completed application forms have to be sent to "Academic Section; Indian Maritime University; East Coast Road; Uthandi; Chennai- 600119" in an envelope super-scribed "Application form for Diploma in Nautical Science leading to B.Sc. (Nautical Science) for Common Entrance Test along with demand draft for Rs.800/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of "Indian Maritime University" payable at Chennai.
