There is a process called evolution. Things evolve on their own even if there are no driving forces such as governments. Communication is a thing that has evolved in spite of the governments. For god sake, do not give any credit to the government for our ability to communicate with one another. No one could have stopped it. We are constantly evolving and that is why we are where we are. While we cannot stop it, we can always give it a direction. The direction may take right turn or wrong turn depending on which way the government or the establishment is inclined. When the government does not give it the right turn as in the case of corruption and other ills that plague the country, there are movements like the one we are witnessing now. And whatever little is happening around is because of the pressure wrought or brought about. Government deserves no credit at all because it did everything within its powers to stall all actions against the corrupt and to stall the process of drafting a lokpal bill. Don't you see how skeletons are tumbling out of their cupboards?

Are you saying that the govt has no role whatsoever in whatever development we see?

I agree that thare is corruption, and that it needs to be tackled. But we must also accept that it cannot be localised to simply the government. We are all a part and parcel of it. What if, tomorrow, someone in lokpal panel itself accepts money to hush things up or give a fair bill of health to someone under investigation? Will we then have another "panel" to watch over lokpal panel?

Read only what is written, stated and hinted at. Do not read what is not written, not stated and not hinted at. Government certainly has roles to play. The problem is--it hasn't been doing that. And that precisely is the reason we are suffering. Instances of mis-governance, mal-governance and non-governance are plenty. But then there are cases of governance as well. If its impact is least discernible, it is because the positives of governance are nullified by the overwhelming negatives of mis, mal and non governance. This has to be understood and appreciated if we are to grow into a mature nation. Governance does not mean the MPs/MLAs should give themselves hefty rises every now and then, give themselves facilities that even kings and princes of the past would not have dreamt of. Look at the way these pampered people who are supposed to provide governance to us are enjoying the subsidized food at parliament canteen and letting tonnes and tonnes of food grain to rot when people are going hungry. Who will you give credit to for this?

Reservation has nothing to do with Corruption , Anti-reservation has everything to do with corruption .

It really hurts when a student with more intelligence and who have worked harder then others didn't get seat in colleges and the student who is getting 35% in exams got seat in a very good college. This is not a democracy. This is not a democratic India. our whole life is ruined in studing harder and harder and when the time came then a person who SERIOUSLY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE THERE took the seat and we have been left with nothing. Shame on politicians who are still saying that its not true. This is just because they have crore's of black money in their accounts and they can use it to buy seats but we common man have no right to say anything. SHAME ON YOU POLITICIANS. We hate you

Reservation is a MAN MADE MONSTER created by our vote hungry politicians. Father of Constitution wanted it for only 10 years but look , it is already extended for >5 decades. Not only this but its % is raised to max possible. I am sure these politicians are not at all interested in upliftment of babkward class so long they get thier votes. No doubt it is insult to the vision of Dr Ambedkar,who wanted reservation to be discontinued, but who among politician cares. So dear countrymen it is here to stay till eternity unless our country gets a real visionary leader.

Yes, of course lower caste people can think better than upper caste people. We agree that lower caste people have become smarter than upper caste people. They are enjoying caste-based reservations and other benefits and advising general caste people to keep away from caste system. Our bespectacled children are burning their eyes for a quality study and these chaps enjoying and going ahead of hard working children from general category. Not only that, general category people are guiding them and doing everything to help them. Can this ice-cream jo jo dare to demand complete removal of caste-based reservation? Which part of history suggests that lower caste people have excelled over upper caste? We had given an opportunity to a SC chief minister Mayawati for a better governance. What she did? She went on a statue-installation spree of dalit icons all over the state spending nearly Rs 2000 crores. Her plan is to replace all the statues of upper caste great leaders with statues of dalits. Not on a single occasion she expressed worry about Bharat. We are sure she will oppose this name too because this is an Aryan name. General caste people are mute spectators. So, we can say lower caste people are smarter than upper caste people nowadays.
