Reservation--how long?

Reservation was intended to be a ten-year programme. It has been extended time and again and the result is not something we need to be proud of. We have compromised with the quality in the name of reservation. If bringing parity is the sole reason for reservation, the best way of achieving this is by providing the infrastructure for the development of individuals. Instead, caste politics was allowed to take centre stage and that has caused immense damage to the country as a whole. Today, inefficiency is the key. Every segment of administration is affected due to inefficiency and that is because of reservation.

Reservation Policy

1. The time has come to afresh the Reservation Policy and needs further reforms.

2. The continuance with the present policy is defeating its purpose of bringing up the social and economical equality at the cost of widespread frustration resentment.

3. As is being sought by so many people now we must shed the caste as a sole criteria for reservation.

4. Economically weaker section must be included in the list.

5. Secondly the reservation quota must not exceed 45%.

6. Then there must be reservation in all schools, irrespective of their being aided by the government funds.

7. We must not forget that today there is so much unrest on account of reservation only on caste basis. Do we want to uplift only lower caste people and not the economically weaker sections. This is also one of the reasons for apathetical attitude of millions in our country and which only is adding fuel to resentment and that point is very much right.

8. The time has also come that the creamy layer must be excluded from the benefits of reservation otherwise it is going to backfire in coming days for the country as a whole. There is so much frustration and resentment in today's youth and this aspect needs urgent attention.

Do away with reservations altogether.

I am for doing away with all kinds of reservations, except of course reservation in trains, plains and restaurants etc. Reservations for jobs and admissions to various schools and colleges must be done away with. These breed frustration and division and nothing else. Instead, provide equal infrastructure for all to grow without any kind of discrimination at any level. Let all grow in an environment of equality. This is what was envisaged by the constitution makers. In our over enthusiasm we nullified it all by clinging on to this absurd principle of reservation that has contributed to raising of an army of inefficient and half-baked educated people. There is a need to give a serious thought to it. And so long as we cannot provide adequate infrastructure for all, the only reservation should be made available to those who are economically backward irrespective of caste and creed. Those promoting the causes of caste and religion forget the fact that 'we are all naked under our shirts and pants'. Our constitution too guaranteed equality and equal opportunities to all. Only the exceptions should be eliminated. No reservation at all. Let us all breathe in a free and fair society where there is no room for adjustments in the name of reservation. This is a breeding ground for corruption and inefficiency. We are paying heavily for that. And in order to create an environment conducive for free and natural growth of all, I suggest conscription for our countrymen. Country belongs to all us. Why then only some people serve it as soldiers. Let no soldier feel that he is dying for 'their' country. We can prove to be a better nation if we do away with reservation and implement conscription.

Dear brother, thanks with congratulations, for your justified out right comments. I was a bit hesitant in it. I do favor outright rejection of reservations for any section of society and that is the answer for all kinds of unnecessary debates and never ending demands as well as a sense of being denied an opportunity by the reservation class itself. Then they say that they deserved more and their quota has been reduced etc. It will end this never ending dissatisfaction for all and forever. It will fill the confidence of hard workers and sincere persons with no crumbling. All will be happy and will work harder and sincerely to fulfill their ambitions in a happy way. Jai Hind......Om Shanti

concription

As I stated earlier, its time both for abolition of reservations of all kinds and rigorous implementation of conscription in India. Many countries practise this and the benefit is immense. Every Indian must serve in the armed forces for at least five years so that each gets the feel of serving the nation in right earnest. This will not only make him conscious about the country as a whole, this will also instil into them the discipline that is essential for any nation to forge ahead. Reservation will die a natural death and every citizen will be armed with a sense of nationalism which is lacking at the moment.

This is a good indication that many people have started raising voice against reservation. Those people who read these posts are requested to spread this message around them. We are sure the day is not far away when the govt will be forced to remove the word reservation from the constitution. This spirit has to be sustained until reservation system is done away with.

Our war cry should be--remove reservations. Let us all be equal at all times if we are keen to bring about equality. Presently, we are suffering simply because we are practising inequality by subscribing to the maxim: all are equal, but some are born more equal. Reservation puts us in this category. More and more people should come forward and support the demand for abolition of reservation. It has done more harm to the nation than any good. Some individuals may have prospered, but the nation has suffered on the whole. Let's get out of this rut. The sooner the better.

Ya reservations should be removed in india

In current situations all the so called reservations candidatures are well settled and still why they need .
main backlog:

1.for example : in india non-reservation candiate got 40 marks in any competative exam
and reservation candiate got 20 marks, the pathatic situation is the one who got 20 is getting is job instead of 40 marks he/she.

reservations has so many loopholes, and these polictial leaders are carrying it further and people like us are sitting idle
my views:

1. all backward classes are on and avg equal to rich and some to middle class of course they are some families still how are in poor condition
2.in same way in other castes also they are below avg and poor , and so many people in india unable to continue there studies

Things to implement :

1. Remove reservations for people (any caste) who is beyond 3lakhs per an-um. or should remove for government employees who are in stable job.

2. Reservations should be given to people those who are poor , reservations should be given only for education purpose, and if student showing gud report it will continue otherwise he /she is not valid for this.

one and only solution:

non reservations candidate should strike for months, i mean no work nothing, no studies and all then things will change.

Reservation or no reservation?

Please do not blow hot and cold at the same time. If you want reservation to go, say so and stick to that. On the other hand, if you want to reservation to stay, as it appears you do, then say so. No dilly-dallying please. Thanks nonetheless for the concern expressed.
