reservation in India: we support reservation policy because we preach for equality. There can be no equality of opportunity for all castes unless status of all castes become the same. And the status of all castes will not be the same unless the representation of all castes in governance and other institutions is appropriate(propotionate according to population). that is why, article 16-4 of the constitution says
