Ralegan Siddhi (Maharashtra), Jan.14 (ANI): Veteran social activist Anna Hazare on Saturday condemned the attack on yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

In a statement issued here, Hazare said that the attempt to throw black ink on Baba Ramdev was an attack on democracy.

He further went on to say that such attacks would only spur supporters of democracy to raise their level of participation.

Describing Baba Ramdev as a person of spotless character, Hazare said throwing black ink on someone of his stature could be wiped away in two minutes.

He, however, said that those people who were robbers, corrupt, characterless and non-law abiding citizens would never be able to wipe off their sins no matter how much they tried.

He said that he was confident about Baba Ramdev continuing with his campaign for a better society, and added that he and his supporters would back the former completely.
