Y is corruption not a real issue in elections??

In India, we discuss all the imp issues at every nook and corner but when it comes to elections, we forget everything and vote on the basis of religion, caste, loyalty towards gandhi family etc. we hv heard analysis on TV that 'election is a different ball game'.

We need to devise ways to connecting these issues with elections. It is just an image management in media (like Mayawati for Dalits, Mulayam for Muslims, BJP for sawarn people and Congress for 'God knows who'). We all would agree in reality these respective leaders do nothing for the community they claim to represent, its just an image. So lets find ways of creating a media image of these issues of black money, corruption, candidate's credentials important in elections not only for elite and educated but for poor, illiterate, rural and urban people as well.

For educated class I hv collected the following ways suggested by all of us:
1st is having a website dedicated to providing info on all the candidates standing for elections.
2nd Anna/website can endorse candidates which are really spotless.
3rd an open blog style forum to discuss the personal traits of the candidates.

Lets find ways for EDUCATING ILLITERATE PEOPLE WHO R NOT INTERNET SAVVY AND MAKING THESE ISSUES A REAL ELECTION AGENDA FOR THEM.

The profile of such masses (as against educated masses) is that they tend to worship their leader and not question them. They hv accepted the fact (from many generations) that leader and ruler is the same. They like the grandeur, arrogance and un-approach-ability of their leader. (Note Rahul Gandhi's speeches, he addresses them accordingly)

PS: Dont know if IACs people read our posts else we will hv to communicate the strategies suggested by us in a more direct way to them.
