Mull the question

Friends,
Some IAC members in parliament will not cut much ice. If what you suggest is really going to happen, then some members cannot do anything. Lokpal bill will be passed there is hardly any doubt about that. An atmosphere has been created by Anna. There is no credible escape route for the government. So the bill will be passed. The moot point is what will happen after the passage of the bill. Will it be implemented in the intended spirit? That is highly doubtful. As you have rightly said that as most of them are corrupt; they will therefore see to it that the whole movement and janlokpal stands discredited by the time the bill is passed by the parliament. The process has already begun. Team Anna has already begun to disintegrate. Charges are flying high every now and then. Now Kiran Bedi too has decided to return the excess money she had charged. This only goes to prove she had erred. These people had thrust upon themselves a great responsibility, responsibility of remaining clean. That somehow got smeared now. Already, the members of team are speaking in different and cacophonous voices forcing Anna to go mute. This is what all the corrupt people--and they are in majority and are very powerful--were trying to get at. Have no doubts, the bill will be passed with some or no modification. Remember, Rajiv Gandhi too had a bill called anti-defection law passed by the parliament after much fuss. Has it dented defection at all? Polity and politics have continued to be what they were, or rather have nosedived further. Here too, what would be the fate of the lokpal bill after it is passed? Anna team has already lost much of its sheen because of its own members who chose to drift apart. When they drifted apart now, how can one be sure they will stick together in the parliament if they chose to be there? Please mull the question, you'll find the answer.
