Cool To fight election or to not fight election

This discussion shows there is a churning process already going on. There are people who think the members of civil society who created history of sorts by forcing the government to include their points in Lokpal bill should fight elections so that they can readily contribute to improving the system. And there are people who think otherwise. In either case, it is certain that thinking minds are at work which is a good augury. The present set of politicians have lost credibility and it would be a herculean task for these people to have their credibility back. But for those who are part of the civil society, it should be comparatively easy to make a clean beginning. Though there are elements of risk, yet it is worth giving a try. But whether or not they will actually contest the election should be left to their own choice. If serving people is the credo, this service can be provided from anywhere and not necessarily from within the parliament itself. For, don't they say "they also serve who only stand and wait"?
