This is a burning topic in our housing society Kendra Upadhayra Sangha Layout Nagarabhavi village Bangalore.
As per Karnataka govt rules, a housing society ( which is approved by all agencies like BDA, BBMP) and those we are having Lease cum sale agreement and who wants to have Absolute sale deed need to go in for re-registration. This amounts to paying full stamp duty at the present rate & this amount is very high & poor site owners cannot afford. The society office bearers are using this opportunity to demand extra money as they have to come & sign on behalf of society.This has been going on for several years & letters sent to society have not been replied.
I have registred in 1989 & still Absolute sale deed is not got from KUS society.
This is nothing but illegal by Govt, society & leads to corruption.
