We have heard our PM many a times both inside and outside the parliment that he wants to bring a strong Lokpal bill. The current bill which has been introduced does'nt include the judicary, elected representatives nor the PM himself. While CBI has been taken out of the perview of RTI, the govt has made a move to divide civil societies so as to block the civil society version of the bill. While we are aware of scams like Bofors, Harshad Mehta, CWG and 2G where the PM was directly or indirectly involved. It is obvious, the govt will try as much as possible to keep MPs and PM out of Lokpal jurisdiction. CBI will continue to be used to prosecute political opponients (Gajan Mohan Reddy). I find it impossible to believe that a MP will shoot at his food by introducing Anna's bill. I still want to believe the PM but facts state otherwise.
