It is sure now quota system can not be done away by any political party in present democratic India. Politicians or their parties are forced to take a lenient view in favour of so-called dalits or OBCs even in an individual case. The reservation issue is a larger issue. I understand we will creat another confusion by demanding reservations for upper caste but this was necessary to secure 50% of seats for those who are not covered under any sort of reservation. In Tamilnadu,Karnataka and other states provide more than 50% reservations to SC/ST/OBC and other communities.
From reserved catagory, if they score well then they apply in open catagory and if not, their father's property (quota) is there. As such they are eating into open catagory seats and rest is filled by incompetent persons. So our first demand must be to secure 50% seats for the people who are not covered under any kind of reservations. Another issue can be taken up at later stage.
